DESIGNER ROOM RECREATE: BLUE BEDROOM BLISS

Blue bedroom by Craig Wright
Photo: Reid Rolls. Design: Craig Wright.
Love this bedroom. The blue walls, concrete ceiling, white trim and shiny dark wood floors make a great foundation for a classic but modern bedroom. The robin’s egg blue wall, bed linens and rug paired with the white upholstered headboard and white ceramic (or milk glass lamps) tie together fantastically – just like a bow on a Tiffany & Co. gift box. The mahogany colored bed frame and night tables are classic in material but modern in design sporting a no frills straight edge box shape standing on block legs.
I would definitely want to hang out in this blue room!
Here’s how you can recreate this look:

White glass table lamp with a white shade with grey trim from Plantation
Plantation – Collette Table Lamp – $295 (hand blown glass lamp base in white opal; shade is white with grey trim) (above)

Dark brown two drawer nightstand from West Elm
West Elm – Nickel Inlay Storage Collection Two-Drawer Nightstand – $259 (hardwood construction with nickel pulls, chocolate color) (above)

Dark brown wood bed frame from West Elm
West Elm – Wood Bed Frame (in chocolate) – $249 for Queen size (above)

Queen headboard upholstered in white muslin from William Sonoma Home
William Sonoma Home – Newport Headboard – $925 Queen headboard in white muslin, $199 (above)

White bent wood chair from Brocade Home

Brocade Home – Bent Wood Chair in White – $199 (side chair oak hardwood construction with white high gloss finish) (above)

Blue and white Madeline Weinrib rug
Madeline Weinrib – Olivia Robins Egg (cotton flatweave rug) (above)

Blue striped wall art from Inhabit
Inhabit – RAS Rain in Sky stretched wall art – $328 for 60″x34″ (made from 100% sustainable recycled polyester. Handprinted and handmade in the USA with environmentally-friendly inks with no chemical waste or disposal generated. ) (above)

You are not going to feel motivated every day. AndYou are not going to feel motivated every day. And you don’t have to.
Some days you’ll feel inspired and everything seems to click. Other days, you’ll question what you’re doing and wonder if any of it is actually working.
The important thing is not to mistake a slow day for a step backward.
You can keep going even when the motivation isn’t there. Some days, showing up is the progress.
Save this for the days when you need the reminder. 🤍

Some of my favorite travel moments are the ones you don’t plan: the pretty street you turn onto, the café you notice while walking by, the building you stop to look at for no particular reason.
So if you’re planning a Paris trip, don’t fill every hour. Leave room to wander.

So today, I took my work somewhere else. ☕️💻
A little change of scenery, a different view, a few hours away from my usual desk and somehow the workday felt a little lighter.
I’ve found that working somewhere else can be a nice reset when I’m feeling stuck, uninspired, or just too used to the same routine. It’s not necessarily about being more productive; sometimes it’s just about making the day feel different.
A little workday change of scenery with me. 🤍
Would you take your work somewhere else for the day?

A great parquet floor doesn’t just ground a room. A great parquet floor doesn’t just ground a room. It tells you everything about the history of the space. The patina, the pattern, the way light moves across it. These are the rooms that prove good bones never go out of style.
What’s your favorite parquet pattern?
