DESIGNING A NIGHT OUT AT HARBINGER

entrance to harbinger showroom in los angeles with sofas and armchairs arranged around a blue ottoman

So…went to chic Los Angeles home furnishings showroom Harbinger last night.  Met up with the COCOCOZY Team (CM and LH came along) for a quick stop by for an anniversary party/book signing.

When I first arrived, I ran into showroom owner and fab interior designer Joe Lucas and showroom manager Tami Carey who are both so awesome.  I didn’t see Parsish Chilcoat though…she owns Harbinger along with Joe…I’m sure she was there but I was too busy gabbing.

I love Harbinger…for a few reasons…1) I love the amazing collection of fine furniture they have curated…2) the textiles they sell to the trade are gorgeous and 3) Harbinger carries the COCOCOZY textiles collection and sells fabric by the yard to the trade!

So generally, I love the overall vibe of Harbinger but last night I had so much fun nosing around gorgeous furniture.  Here are some things that were quite exciting to see last night.

Everyone was so nice…including Amanda Nisbet who gave me a tip on some furniture I need for COCOCOZY HQ.

Fun night overall!

Anything here that you see that you like? Any design inspirations from the things I like? Do tell.

Happy Wednesday again!

P.S. Tonight am supposed to go to another event.  It is up in the air as to whether I’ll be able to squeeze that in!  I’ll try!

I really love the lampshade. Everything else is really awesome too. The fabrics and the cushion are something I’d really love to have.

This 300m² Haussmannian duplex in central Paris wa This 300m² Haussmannian duplex in central Paris was designed to function as both a home and a gallery and the distinction between the two is impossible to find.
Every room treats art and objects with the same weight as furniture, nothing is decorative for its own sake, everything is placed with intention.
The Haussmannian bones, ornate cornicing, herringbone parquet, original stained glass ceiling, stay intact throughout. Natural and handcrafted materials do the rest.

So proud of my dear friend Kristi Bender and her b So proud of my dear friend Kristi Bender and her business partner Wendy Schwartz on the launch of Petal Promenade for @cuff_studio. 👏
This new collection feels like such a beautiful evolution. Inspired by their Manhattan Flower District showroom, it brings together the romance of classic decorative arts with a fresh, modern perspective in a way that feels bold, artistic, and incredibly thoughtful.
If you are attending ICFF 2026, make sure to stop by Booth W1048 and experience Petal Promenade in person. Congratulations, Kristi and Wendy. This collection is truly something special. ✨
