In Southern California, where I happily reside, dining outdoors in the middle of the winter is a possibility. In fact, last night I went to dinner and we ended up sitting outdoors under a heat lamp on a cold California night. The air was just crisp enough, the heat lamp was just warm enough and the prosecco was just bubbly enough!
Anyhooo…came across this gorgeous table set by event designer Antoinette Watson of Claiborne & Lime that shows how beautiful and romantic winter dining outdoors can be. This was a dinner party in Santa Barbara for a the owners of the company’s friends. A long table with a romantic dramatic olive tree branch garland draped down the center. Add some candle sticks in repurposed glass bottles, white napkins with an orange border, some sparkle lights in the tree, blankets for guests and I would add 3 heat lamps. Some good food and drink and tah dah.
Hmmm…maybe I will throw a little dinner party on my deck for a few people – dining outdoors COCOCOZY style. For those of you living in colder climates, pin these photos and maybe keep in your files for spring party after the cold blows away!

P.S. On the technical side, I may not be blogging for a few days as my IT folks are migrating the entire blog to a different server. I don’t really know what that means but I know I won’t be able to make changes to the site for 3-4 days they say. The site will still be live and running for you to search…I just will not be able to access the writing part. Well since nobody wants to know how sausage is made…that is all I will say on these technical issues we have been having. Hmmm…well here goes.
P.P.S. Hope you have a great long weekend
