I want this farmhouse. I do.
I’ve never really been a country sort of girl I don’t think. However, I would love to have a wonderful second home outside of the hustle and bustle of the city…a getaway of sorts. A beautiful little home in a bucolic setting…with even a few animals (horses) milling about hither and thither.
I like this idea.
If I had a farm, I’d want this one. A very chic farmhouse indeed.
Something very “controlled rustic”about this design. And I like it.
I love the way the way ropes are used to hang the chandelier and the mirror above the fireplace mantel. (above) |
A wonderful white attic bedroom with sloped ceilings makes things feel oh so cozy. (above) |
Love the hexagon mosaic tiles on the floor, the claw foot stand alone tub and the floor to ceiling white subway tiles in the master bath! (above) |
What do you think of this farmhouse? Like or dislike? What might you add? What might you keep exactly as is.
I would take it as is…I might throw in a COCOCOZY pillow or two here and there but other than that I have my bags packed and am ready to move in!
Happy Friday!

Too “ice ice baby” for me…I am pining for my own farmhouse with wood kitchen counters, big old sink, worn wood floors and a screened porch…a place where things get messy, there is mud on your boots. This house is too pristine for me but then I have two boys!
Oh my, I’d add a few colorful accents but I’d pack my bags and move in now too! Love it!
Yes, I think if that were my farmhouse, I could become a country girl too.
i am loving and will be fighting you for it. i think it is always a sweet surprise to find decor like this inside a rustic structure.

Wowza! That’s not your Grandma’s farm house. No siree Bob… It’s so tres chic. If I had a kitchen like that, I would plow fields and gather eggs until the cows that I milked that morning came home!
I like it, but am somehow wanting the kitchen to be as simple as possible. Not liking the ‘fancy’ edge on the marble.
Love, love that coffee table in the living room!
That little bedroom nook is perfection! So cozy.
