Setting the table for a holiday gathering with family. I found these photos of the holiday tabletop decor that I pulled together for last year’s Christmas Eve dinner. Every year pretty much for the last 10 years I think, I have cooked some kind of Christmas Eve dinner. Two years ago, I had about 18 family members over for the biggest holiday meal I had ever cooked. That was fun.
Last year, the dinner was smaller with about 10 of us gathered around my sister’s dining room table. Since my tiny little cottage in the Hollywood Hills is too small for a large group, I typically take over my sisters kitchen and house for Christmas Eve.
Anyhooo…thought you might get some inspiration from this holiday tabletop. I think the flowers look a little too much like a wedding arrangement though! This year I will add in a bit more pine and I will probably arrange the flowers myself. Last year, pictured here, I used flowers from my favorite florist The Empty Vase.
I used a crisp white table cloth, green linen runner, glassware with gold accents and then added candles and a string of glitter ornaments to finish everything off.
Okay…now what to do this year???? Will make set the table on Sunday this year (I know that is early…but would rather have it done when I have time to think things through). Can’t wait. I love this time of year!
