KITCHEN WEEK: RECREATING A CLASSIC KITCHEN!

May 9, 2011

All white kitchen with hard wood floor, white cabinets and drawers with black drawer pulls, stainless appliances, a polished pendant light, white hood and french doors with taupe curtains

Happy Mother’s Day!  To all you readers who are moms, I wish you a very very happy Mother’s Day.  You deserve it!  To my own mom, I love you and thank you for being a wonderful and amazing mother!

Here on COCOCOZY, we’ve arrived at the last day of KITCHEN WEEK!  Tah dah…we did it.  A week of kitchens…a week of sticking to one topic! Go figure.

Today, on this Mother’s Day and last day of KITCHEN WEEK, I bring you the last of many fab kitchens.

Adore this white kitchen, with its black hinges, bin pulls and knobs.  Love the contrast between the white cabinets and the black accents.  Also, loving the vintage counter stools.

Close in a white kitchen with white drawers and cabinets, black drawer pulls, marble counter tops with blue glass bottles and a vase holding daffodils

What do you think of this kitchen?  Like?  Dislike?

What did you think of KITCHEN WEEK?  What do you want to see more of during the next kitchen focused?  I realized looking back that I featured a lot of white kitchens; I know kitchens come in many colors…next KITCHEN WEEK expect more variety of color!

Happy Sunday!  Happy Mother’s Day!  Happy end of KITCHEN WEEK!

xo

Who doesn’t love a classic kitchen? I love the modernized look of an older style of seating and lighting.

The counter tops seem to be Carrara Marble.

Hi Coco, I loved your kitchen week. Thanks for taking note of the all white kitchens. I love them and had a major struggle deciding on white or not for my current kitchen remodel. I have seen amazing ones from Kelly Hoppen in the dark woods and that’s what I decided to do. I wish I could have seen that (even though I know right now that white is all the rage). I’m going to send you mind as soon as it’s finished so that you can let me know what you think. PS I also love those vintage wood stools! Maybe you can do a bath week next???

Oh, I love that hardware for the cabinets. They would look awesome against the white!

I love the freshness of this white kitchen, but I especially love the addition of the taupe fabric on the window treatments. Adds a touch of movement and softness to an otherwise monochromatic design. Thanks for sharing!

It started with an invitation. I met @hugobesnier_ It started with an invitation. I met @hugobesnier_ , founder and designer of luxury furniture brand @hartisparis_ at a small gathering in the 7ème, near the Musée d’Orsay. I was there with my new friends, Scarlette and Sarah.
The apartment itself was incredible! Tall ceilings, terrazzo floors, right along the Seine, but what really stood out was the furniture.
Turns out, it was Hugo's exquisite work.
The pieces are designed around everyday gestures: sitting, leaning, resting, but interpreted in a way that feels elevated and intentional. There’s a balance of structure and softness, where architectural lines meet more organic textures and forms.
He invited me back the next day to see everything more clearly, outside of the party setting, and it completely changed how I experienced it. The pieces feel intentional and refined, with a strong focus on material and form.
Sharing a closer look at his work here.
