If you follow me on Snap Chat at cococozyblog or @COCOCOZY on Instagram, you know that this past weekend, I spent a bit of time at the Los Angeles Flower Market located in downtown L.A. On the day before Mother’s day the flower market was jam packed and it was filled with any type of flower you could dream of…including loads and loads of pink peonies.
Best of friend AM is a peony girl and so are most girls I know. I have proudly stated time and time again that I am different…that I am not following the crowd. I have even gone as far as to say I like unpretentious happy daisies as flowers. Well after this weekend, that has changed.
I LOVE PEONIES!
I found two different types of peonies in pink and coral and I snapped them up for my patio and for my living room decor. Love these. I will also state that before this weekend I was not a huge fan of pink. Best of friend AM loved pink so much at one point that her living room was all pink. Best of friend AM has a very tall husband, JE, who tried to ask for brown in their living room once…unfortunately his request was declined and he lived with it for years. Now best of friend AM is in her blue period so both her home in the Hamptons and her NYC apartment a swathed in blue. Anyhoooo…my point is that for years…she liked pink…other girls liked pink and I was not a fan. I cannot say I am a fan of pink overall…but
I LOVE PINK PEONIES!
So here is my little tiny cottage in the Hollywood Hills with pink peonies adding to the living room decor!
What do you think of my living room decor? Like or love the pink peonies.

P.S. Ok….if you read the last post you know that I have a speaking engagement next week in New Orleans. Need to look my best and feel in shape. I worked out twice yesterday. Stairs near my house in the hills in the morning…Pilates in the evening. Am sore. Must work out today after work. Crunch time!!! Please keep me on track with this. Weigh in with how you stay motivated.
Your peonies are gorgeous! I keep trying to grow them with mixed results. My father was a champ at it, me not so much!
Love the peonies! The pink makes everything in the room pop. By the way, peonies (especially those freshly cut from a garden or at a flower market) often come with ants which are natural pollinators. If you see any ants around the flowers, you can gently dip the individual flowers in a sink full of water and then gently remove them and place them on a towel for few moments, leaving any ants behind in the sink.
I recommend dark chocolate and lots of it, for motivation to exercise and because…why not have some chocolate to help smooth the bumps of the day? Then, maybe you can forget about the work-out or at least have a reward if you do keep it up.
I have always admired your painting over your living room couch. Who is the artist?
