White Carrara marble slab used to cover wall and as backsplash in a city apartment bathroom sink area. (above)
Why tile up a wall in a bathroom when you could just use one huge piece of marble?
I like this look. Also, loving the marble sink basins in this double sink area and the half wall of marble. Without seeing the picture, some might think I am talking about a marble palace of sorts…but as you see here, this is just the right amount of stone. I think the grey veins in the marble add visual interest without being too busy. Eliminates the visual clutter of tile or grout lines too. The mosaic floor helps balance things out. Love all of the polished nickel metal fitting and faucets. Simple and elegant.

I love love love this bathroom/photo! I’ve had it in my inspiration folder for some time.
Definitely makes for a more formal bathroom and gives it a hotel suite kind of feel. Very pretty!
White Carrara marble can do no wrong in my book. Beautiful!
Gorgeous, but would be afraid that specks from my brown makeup would stain….
The cararra is such a beautiful stone, and it looks beautiful in this space. I use more creams rather than grays, but I certainly appreciate it’s grace and beauty.
That is my favorite marble for bathrooms. Love it!
I think it looks great!
Do you recommend using Carrara Marble for kitchen countertops? (I have dark mahogany stained cabinets with black and white diamond pattern floor and a yellow Schumacher toile wallpaper.) I keep being told by fabricators to NOT use the marble because of maintenance issues. Thanks!

Love this bathroom – and love carrara marble, too – it’s forever classic and timeless.
Beautiful! Thanks for the inspiration. May have to remodel my bath now.
Thanks for sharing this lovely bathroom!xo
I agree — lovely bathroom. While I love Carrara marble, I think the little antique footstool is what really makes this space come together.
I love the look of the slab for this wall application – a great twist on a classic material! I’d also love to see it in a showstopping granite or marble pattern as well…could be very fun!
What a beautiful bathroom! I love the small square tile floor against the smooth span of marble – classic with a touch of modern.
Love this bathroom. I don’t miss the grout lines and love the clean look.
Obviously, this is MAG. But it costs a whole lot more to do a slab.
I love this photo and I”m a huge fan of marble in the bathroom. Hate it for the kitchen though. I wrote a post last week on exactly that topic. In 10 years of design I have never met a fabricator who encouraged marble in the kitchen but it’s everywhere. Too much HGTV I think.
We lucked out with a marble master bath in our new house. I absolutely love it – like I love this bath. It’s just so pretty!
The design looks both classic, elegant, and modern. It’s simple and seems to tell a lot about the owners.
FABULOUS… Love it. It has 3 of my favorite bathroom things:
white marble and lots of it – check
shiny chrome fittings and fixtures – check
timeless elegance – check
cheers

I wonder if white marble paired with all that chrome will ever lose its appeal to me? Pre war glamour!
