I have never quite seen kitchen cabinets like these. Reclaimed wood fronts with modern lines and hardware. So interesting. These photos are from a house in Norway. The look is finished off with cement counters, cement floors and a high end Wolf stove. A small kitchen, with two sinks and a lovely black frame window looking out to a garden.
I was going to say rustic – but I seem to use that word a lot. So let’s see….I’m going to say country, sylvan, pastoral with a modern edge.
Trying to decide whether I would want these unfinished looking wood cabinets in any of my many future dream homes (the operative words are “future” and “dream”…I currently live in a tiny cottage in the Hollywood Hills…one home…very small…kitchen…no plans to change it any time soon…)…anyhoooo….back to dreaming…where might a kitchen like this work? City, country, beach…??? Hmmm….thinking.
Happy Monday!

P.S. Saturday…had a fun weekend again with my mom. We did a bit of COCOCOZY work (so nice to have a mom who will spend her Saturday at the office with you!) and then we had a nice dinner. Good times catching up.
P.P.S. Sunday…went to brunch with TE and his mother who was visiting from Sonoma. We went to Shutters and had a lovely time. It was a delightful afternoon. Then we went over to Casa del Mar to see the renovations that are in progress over at that hotel – famed interior designer Michael Smith is working on that project and I cannot wait to see what he does to such an iconic hotel. Check out COCOCOZY Istagram, to see the hotel lobby area that he is working on in progress.
P.P.P.S. Good weekend.

Oh I love them. Rustic and modern all in one. Super chic.
Love these! I like the beach house application idea

I think the look is great. I would worry how practical wood would be in a kitchen, reclaimed at that. But this could work for a sleek city apartment or in the country, it is very bright and I adore that for sure
I absolutely LOVE the way these cabinets look, but being a person who really uses my kitchen, I am constantly scrubbing my cabinets in a vain effort to keep them clean. The rough fronts of these look like they would be a nightmare.
