7 THINGS I’M LOVING FROM WEST ELM LOS ANGELES!

West Elm Los Angeles opens today!  I got a semi-private tour of the new West Elm store earlier this week BEFORE the store’s opening.  The modern furniture and accessories retailer is now in the middle of Los Angeles right on Beverly Boulevard.

Nice Kendall Coleman a West Elm publicist invited me (and a few others) to come meet West Elm’s venerable Creative Director Vanessa Holden and then tour the store.

The tour was so much fun!  So cool being in a store before it opens.  There was an employee meeting and all of the new sales staff was cheering…there were stylists and photographers buzzing around making everything look perfect and making sure to document it all.  The space is gorgeous.  Kind of a warehouse feel with lots of skylights and industrial touches.  Love it.

I felt like a bit of a cliche…kid in a candy store…getting to see a store like this on the eve of its opening.

First and foremost…as far as cool modern home furnishings…it is clear the people at West Elm know what they are doing…so many great home accessories and so much furniture to see…all well edited though and perfectly designed.  Love!

My faves are the metal Parsons desk, the Mercury Owls (cute table or shelf decor), the bath accessories and the Modernist Mugs.  So basically everything!

If you are in Los Angeles today…you should go check out this new West Elm.  It opens today!  Good affordable options for holiday shopping!

P.S.  Great dinner last night with best of guy friend BN and newer friend SCS who is a stylish, clever and nice Hollywood exec who runs a cable network.  We went to Madeo and practically closed down the restaurant.  Madeo is this Hollywood insiders haven…with fabulous Italian fare and a cozy environment.  At the end of the night we got to talking politics – lighthearted politics I might add.  Me and best of guy friend BN are always arguing politics so now we just talk about fluffy stuff so we don’t fight.  It was nice though to have someone on my side of the argument.  SCS was so hilarious as she quizzed BN on his views and he tried to quiz back (unsuccessfully).  Very hilarious and fun dinner.  Can’t wait to do it again.

Loving everything – especially the green kitchen accessories. It’s such a great colour – I could also do some serious damage to my bank balance if I lived any closer ! Thanks for sharing Fiona in West Sussex UK

Oh West Elm…. you are calling my name! I think I’ll visit the Philly store today (don’t worry Jonathan Adler store, I’ll come see you too!).
BTW, love all your posts. Very inspiring!

I’m wildly jealous of everyone who has access to such gorgeousness! As much as I would love to have West Elm here in the UK, I would most definitely fear for my bank account… I will have to admire from afar I think!

Thanks so much for sharing! x

Behind-the-scenes: Fun work trip to visit the COCOBehind-the-scenes: Fun work trip to visit the COCOCOZY bedding collection at the Welspun showroom in New York. Met with some buyers, had a fun time with the Welspun team, then capped off the weekend with a visit with friends. It is a long process to get bedding in stores across the country...showing the collections at textiles market is one of the first steps!
If you're interested in learning how I have gotten @cococozy products into stores around the country over the years including in major retailers...follow along...just one entrepreneur's journey. :)

Today is my birthday but...I don’t want to celeb Today is my birthday but...I don’t want to celebrate...I want to help.
I want to make a meaningful impact in our greater Los Angeles community suffering from the fires. I invite you to join me in transforming birthday wishes into support for one local organization on the ground in Pasadena/Altadena.
I have made a contribution today already to the LA Fire Relief Fund created by @victorybiblechurch in Pasadena. They are actively assisting families in need in both Pasadena and Altadena who have been affected by the devastating Eaton Fire.
Although I don't have a personal connection to Pastor DeCuir or the church, I was searching for an organization that is helping in the Altadena area. A well respected civil rights attorney I follow @leemerrittesq is on the ground helping the church members and community members with legal services in the wake of the fires. I hope by contributing to their efforts, we can extend a helping hand to those facing significant challenges during this difficult time
To donate, please visit their website at https://vbcpasadena.org/ (link in bio as well). Every contribution, no matter the size, brings hope and relief to those who need it most. Tell them you heard about them from me.
Your generosity to the Los Angeles community is the best birthday gift I could ask for.

Happy New Year! 🎉✨ As we step into this freshHappy New Year! 🎉✨ As we step into this fresh chapter, I’m reminded of the beauty of starting anew and I like recommitting to goals at the top of the year. Nothing set in stone but just an overall vision of what I'd like to do and who I would hope to help along the way.
This year, my mantra is: **dream big, act boldly, treasure the small joys, continue to lead with kindness and to have as much empathy as possible for others **. Just a few things...😂
I’m also deeply committed to helping people who follow along to achieve their dreams. I'll be curating captivating interior design inspiration with COCOCOZY that will hopefully give you ideas and dreams for your own space. I will also be empowering you to realize the value of your influence with Chirpyest by earning cash back for sharing and shopping. I hope to be open about the journey of the COCOCOZY product line. I want to share real time behind the scenes how the line is being built and how we are growing Chirpyest; both examples of the not so linear journey of building businesses from the ground up. I hope these stories spark you to push your own boundaries and shake out of your comfort zones.
Lastly, in 2025, I’m committed to surrounding myself with people who have a positive vibe about them while striving to be that same light for others. Luckily, I have a great start on this with an amazing family and fantastic group of friends - a fantastic support network.
My wish for you in 2025: May this year bring you clarity, courage, and the confidence to pursue all that makes you happy.
What’s one thing you’re committing to in 2025? Let’s inspire each other in the comments! 💬❤️
Let's get to this...am ready 2025!
