THE “HOLE” STORY ON PIERCED METALLIC ACCESSORIES

April 15, 2008
  • Share

White pierced side table from Mecox Gardens
Mecox Gardens – Pipa Side Table (Pierced Resin) – $1450 (above)

I like white or metallic pierced home accessories. The pierced texture appeals to my classic/modern sensibility. From pierced jars, pierced lamps, to even a pierced table, the combination of the playful pierced texture and the clean simplicity of the white or metal renders these house items eye catching and able to blend in easily to whatever environment.

Whether in porcelain, resin or metal, the piercing gives the feel of something that is hand made. I think I’d like a pair of the ginger jars in my house.

Good Idea: Put tea candles in the bottom of the pierced ginger jars (below) and turn them into beautiful latterns with the light shining through the Moroccan pierced pattern.

Pierced silver disk tea light holders from Z Gallerie
Z Gallerie – Disc Tealight Holder – $19.95 (above)

White pierced ginger jars from William Sonoma Home
William Sonoma Home – Pierced Ginger Jars – $138-$238 (above)
