PREPPY LILLY PULITZER NEW FURNITURE COLLECTION!

April 22, 2011

T Cushion Loveseat in Turquoise by Lilly Pulitzer

Okay still gushing about the new Lilly Pulitzer furniture collection due out this summer. I think the oh so preppy color palette is so appropriate for this weekend – Easter weekend…also for spring, summer and just right for any beach abode (whether it be a casual beach shack, a cute ocean front cottage, or that waterfront mansion that pops up so regularly in my dreams).

I’m loving the architecture of the furniture and the bright colors (apparently manufactured by HFI Brands for Lilly P). Might have to conquer my phobia of bright colors in home decor for one of these darling perfectly cheerful upholstered pieces.

Octagonal shaped ottoman with green white trellis rope by Lilly Pulitzer

My favorite – the little loveseat! Any of these upholstered Lilly Pulitzer pieces strike your preppy fancy?

Oh…after my Lilly post yesterday I received an email from reader Elizabeth W from Haute Indoor Couture blog (and her Design in a Day DC interior design firm)…apparently she saw the Lilly Pulizter collection in High Point, NC earlier this month. Go to COCOCOZY Twitter to see some of Elizabeth’s photos of the Lilly P. furniture line booth at the High Point show.

Oh, on a total side note, I think it is amusing when people (including myself) get so mad about unimportant things. In fact, I realized I was getting all twisted up the other day over something so minor that it warrants me embarrassing myself by telling you all the story in hopes that in the future I remember to keep everything in perspective so I don’t have to embarrass myself again and tell another story so I remember to keep things in perspective (circular)…you get the idea…right?   I was at the salon place earlier this week fuming and fussing that they wouldn’t let me squeeze in an eyebrow wax before my next beauty appointment. I was looking at my blackberry, shooting daggers with my eyes at the receptionist who was holding me back from getting my eyebrows perfectly waxed, I was making exasperated sounding noises…the works. All of sudden a kid came over and sat down next to me (he must have been 15) and said “It’s a long wait isn’t it?”…and I replied in an extreme huff, “I know and I’ve been here for 15 minutes and there are people available and they won’t let me get my eyebrows done because they are closing and my other appointment cannot wait they say if I’m getting brows done…but I could have gotten my brows done by now. I’m so annoyed…”, and then I literally huffed out loud (insert a big cry baby waaaa waaaa booo hoooo too). The kid took my rant into consideration and then put all in perspective when he smiled knowingly and simply said, “Other than that, how’s your day going?”, and then he smiled and nodded. I didn’t really have an answer…but it certainly took me out of my tailspin. I laughed and smiled and remembered about not sweating the small stuff!

Again, thank you Lainie for all of the photos and info!

Hope you have a great day!
Happy Friday!

xo

HELO…The sofa is all out of proportion it’s to tall and looks silly, like it’s going to fall forward. It’s just one more Charles of London sofa with spool legs Big Deal…get some aqua sunbrella for 22. per yard and recover the one from a garage sale…and please tellme what could possibly make that ottoman cost that much? i’ve done interiors along time and there is no way there are more than 5 yards of fabric and a $500.00 labor in that thing so any one want an ottoman looking like that call an upholsterer they will make it for you I’m sure…

Sounds like more than one of us is in a pre-Easter huff!

I do agree that the LP pieces are over priced. They look like something from W Palm Beach, but I have never been big on the style for my own designs. There are so many pretty things in the world. Viva la difference!

I love the Lowan Bench and I don’t feel like the LP furniture is overpriced?? Maybe because here in Australia something like that would cost A LOT more. Happy Easter everyone 🙂 Nicolex

Coco I adore the turquoise sofa and have the perfect spot for it!

The collection is priced quite high however so are LP clothing collections!

Part of design is finding what is great and if need be substituting…we all love to get ideas for decor.

Personally Coco I think your own line, which continues to grow is fabulous!

Behind-the-scenes: Fun work trip to visit the COCOBehind-the-scenes: Fun work trip to visit the COCOCOZY bedding collection at the Welspun showroom in New York. Met with some buyers, had a fun time with the Welspun team, then capped off the weekend with a visit with friends. It is a long process to get bedding in stores across the country...showing the collections at textiles market is one of the first steps!
If you're interested in learning how I have gotten @cococozy products into stores around the country over the years including in major retailers...follow along...just one entrepreneur's journey. :)

Today is my birthday but...I don’t want to celeb Today is my birthday but...I don’t want to celebrate...I want to help.
I want to make a meaningful impact in our greater Los Angeles community suffering from the fires. I invite you to join me in transforming birthday wishes into support for one local organization on the ground in Pasadena/Altadena.
I have made a contribution today already to the LA Fire Relief Fund created by @victorybiblechurch in Pasadena. They are actively assisting families in need in both Pasadena and Altadena who have been affected by the devastating Eaton Fire.
Although I don't have a personal connection to Pastor DeCuir or the church, I was searching for an organization that is helping in the Altadena area. A well respected civil rights attorney I follow @leemerrittesq is on the ground helping the church members and community members with legal services in the wake of the fires. I hope by contributing to their efforts, we can extend a helping hand to those facing significant challenges during this difficult time
To donate, please visit their website at https://vbcpasadena.org/ (link in bio as well). Every contribution, no matter the size, brings hope and relief to those who need it most. Tell them you heard about them from me.
Your generosity to the Los Angeles community is the best birthday gift I could ask for.

Happy New Year! 🎉✨ As we step into this freshHappy New Year! 🎉✨ As we step into this fresh chapter, I’m reminded of the beauty of starting anew and I like recommitting to goals at the top of the year. Nothing set in stone but just an overall vision of what I'd like to do and who I would hope to help along the way.
This year, my mantra is: **dream big, act boldly, treasure the small joys, continue to lead with kindness and to have as much empathy as possible for others **. Just a few things...😂
I’m also deeply committed to helping people who follow along to achieve their dreams. I'll be curating captivating interior design inspiration with COCOCOZY that will hopefully give you ideas and dreams for your own space. I will also be empowering you to realize the value of your influence with Chirpyest by earning cash back for sharing and shopping. I hope to be open about the journey of the COCOCOZY product line. I want to share real time behind the scenes how the line is being built and how we are growing Chirpyest; both examples of the not so linear journey of building businesses from the ground up. I hope these stories spark you to push your own boundaries and shake out of your comfort zones.
Lastly, in 2025, I’m committed to surrounding myself with people who have a positive vibe about them while striving to be that same light for others. Luckily, I have a great start on this with an amazing family and fantastic group of friends - a fantastic support network.
My wish for you in 2025: May this year bring you clarity, courage, and the confidence to pursue all that makes you happy.
What’s one thing you’re committing to in 2025? Let’s inspire each other in the comments! 💬❤️
Let's get to this...am ready 2025!
