RANDOM STUFF I’M LIKING RIGHT NOW 2.11.10!

February 11, 2010

Custom orange Trina Turk Santorini outdoor fabric pillow from Pieces
Pieces – Orange Curves Pillow – $295 (Custom pillow made from Trina Turk Santorini outdoor fabric. Down blend insert.)(above)

No rhyme, no reason, no theme, no scheme, no purpose…just some random furniture and accessories I’m liking right now. A little this or that for the mansion, ranch, home, house, apartment, loft, condo, cottage or shack and anything in between.

Modern tight back and seat sofa on metal legs from BoConcept
BoConcept – Lugo Sofa (Modern tight back and seat sofa on metal legs)(above)

Glass lamp with clear white ribbon trellis pattern reticello from Baker
Baker – Double Ball Ribbon Lamp – $2184 (Glass lamp. Clear with white glass ribbon trellis pattern. Using a technique called reticello, rods of clear crystal and milk white glass are fused together and then blown and manipulated to create a delicate netting pattern interspersed with tiny bubbles. 22″ high. Chinette shade)(above)

Vintage Brass Oval Cylinder Lights from Blend Interiors
Blend Interiors – Brass Oval Cylinder Lights – $5000 (20th century. Pair of oval brass and glass cylinder hanging lights. 32 in tall rod (can be adjusted))(above)

Rectangular Span-leg Table designed by Piet Hein, Bruno Mathsson and Arne Jacobsen from hive
hive – Rectangular Span-leg Table – $2011 (Designed by Piet Hein, Bruno Mathsson and Arne Jacobsen in 1968. Steel legs, synthetic material and white wood veneer top. Legs are shown in shiny chromed finish and top is white laminate)(above)

8 Vintage Milo Baughman Tangerine Dining Chairs from Assemblage
Assemblage – Set of 8 Milo Baughman Tangerine Dining Chairs – $7500 (circa 1960’s. Dining chair set upholstered in bright orange. Dark walnut legs and fixed cushions)(above)

Porcelain striped bowl from yliving
Yliving – Origo Bowl – $24 (Porcelain striped bowl with multicolored bands of orange, blue, green, white)(above)

I know most of these items are really pricey…I am not completely out of touch with what’s going on the world (only marginally out of touch). If these pieces are out of your price range (many are way out of mine…) think of this post as inspirational and aspirational. Maybe they will inspire you to find more economical alternative! For those of you who can easily afford all of these, lucky you. 🙂

Price aside…do you have a favorite?

xoxo
Coco

I love the pillow! That fabric is fabulous and the piping / welting gives it a very tailored look. Great color pop on the turquoise sofa. Great picks!

Orange dining chairs are so hip, but a bit pricey. saw these:

and at 1/10th the price I could forgo the designer name.

Yes! I had to photoshop the pillow onto the couch, just to see how it would look!

Not sure I posted my last remark…

The turquoise sofa is brilliant! That said, doubt I could live with it, but still admire it’s color, style and form.

Wish I could afford those dining room chairs… any, for that matter!

Milo Baughman orange armchairs, hands down! One at each end of the 9 foot dining table in my future dream house. 🙂
