ROOM TO LOVE: A LIVING ROOM WITH GOOD BONES AND GREAT STYLE!

All photos in this post courtesy of Meridith Baer & Associates
Living room by Meridith Baer with white coffered ceiling, white fireplace with decorative molding and paneling, tall windows, a long white sofa, white armchairs and modern art on the walls

Great living room decorated by Los Angeles home staging aficionado Meridith Baer. Wonderful blend of traditional and modern. Love the architecture of the room too. The bright white elegant coffered ceiling, the sleek fireplace mantel complete with decorative molding and paneling and the fab tall windows that wrap around the room….good and stylish “bones”. Love the decor too…white upholstered sofa and armchairs, the modern art, the turned wood and glass coffee table and all of the accents and details too.

Perfect.

Thanks Meridith for another lovely room!

I love this room! What a challenge, to create a comfortable and beautiful space with such long & narrow dimensions. thanks so much for sharing, The mantel is exquisite…

It is a beautifully appointed room, BUT the picture above the fireplace looks cough cough too small. And design has to be funciontal, so what do they do for privacy? Sorry… you asked.

Sorry… after looking at it further, isn’t there a rule that says only the sofa can be half-way onto a rug? I truly think it is a beautiful room… just needs a little tweaking.

The windows make it. I would add some additional color however for a visual place for the eye to rest. But lovely and soft. Appealing to many!

Stunning. I love the lightness combined with the bold black elements. The room feels grounded, sophisticated and elegant yet comfortable.

i love the large piece of art on the wall, but the room feels like a fishbowl with city street (and LA city street at that) right outside on all sides and no privacy. Gorgeous or not, I find it hard to believe people would live in that room unless they were bucking for the own reality show

The bouclé sofa isn’t a trend, it’s a commitment. The bouclé sofa isn’t a trend, it’s a commitment. Soft, sculptural, and impossible to walk past without wanting to sit down. The rooms that get it right pair it with something unexpected: a dramatic mural, an antique screen, a city skyline, a hand-laid mosaic floor.

A well-designed bunk room isn’t just for kids. It’s about making every guest feel like they got the best bed in the house. Built-in storage, thoughtful lighting, and bedding that actually makes you want to climb up top.
Save this for your next build or renovation inspo and follow for more. 🖤

This Toronto home just redefined “warm modern.” 🤎 This Toronto home just redefined “warm modern.” 🤎
Designer Ashley Montgomery layered reclaimed wood beams, brass hardware, and deep walnut millwork against soft plaster walls, and somehow every single room still feels calm. The olive built-ins in the living room, the arched oak doors, that brass shower enclosure in the primary bath... this is what happens when someone actually commits to a palette.

How much summer can you fit into a few days? ☀️⛵️How much summer can you fit into a few days? ☀️⛵️
I flew from Los Angeles to Nantucket for a very quick trip and I’m planning to find out.
Beautiful beaches, boats, gorgeous interiors, time with friends and one last little dose of August.
Turns out you don’t always need a whole week to feel like you got away. 🤍
So happy to be visiting bestie @francesgfayard and her husband Calvin and my godson Carter for a little last minute end of summer travel. New England at its best. Day 1 was a beautiful day. 🤩
You are not going to feel motivated every day. AndYou are not going to feel motivated every day. And you don’t have to.
Some days you’ll feel inspired and everything seems to click. Other days, you’ll question what you’re doing and wonder if any of it is actually working.
The important thing is not to mistake a slow day for a step backward.
You can keep going even when the motivation isn’t there. Some days, showing up is the progress.
Save this for the days when you need the reminder. 🤍
