When you think of New York City, you don’t necessarily think “modern French farmhouse”. Well architecture firm MNA did just that with this East Village penthouse apartment
Here’s how MNA describes the project on their website:
“This renovation transforms an East Village apartment into an updated interpretation of the grand 19th century penthouse, rich with open-grained white oak paneling, tumbled French limestone floors, encaustic plaster walls, black lacquer cabinets and a beamed ceiling created with vintage French timbers. Existing windows were replaced with arched, steel framed French doors that lead out to a landscaped terrace.”
Do you think this NYC apartment has been transformed into a French country house? Yes or no?
The home has been featured in magazines a few times over the years but I just found it and love it.. The arched steel framed windows and doors are perfection in my view!
Happy Friday!
