See This Spectacular House In Martha’s Vineyard

August 29, 2024

I went to Martha’s Vineyard a couple of weeks ago and spent around three weeks there. Everything was amazing, including the house I was staying at. While at Martha’s Vineyard, I also got to see my friends Peter and Randi Farmsworth’s newly renovated home. It is a 4,200 square feet property, with five bedrooms and nine bathrooms. The interior designer of the home is Louise Barzilay. She also runs an amazing leather jacket business! Also, big thanks to the photographer, Arletta Charter, for these wonderful pictures.

Randi’s house there went through some major transformations that I thought had to be shown. It is spectacular!

The house has gone through a major transformation. Inside and out. She “tore down two structures and built from scratch.” The location of one of the structures was moved to farm fields. Randi said she wanted “you to feel like you were floating above them.”

She broke ground in November 2019, moved into the guest house in the summer of 2021, and into the main house in the summer of 2022. The pool was finished in August 2023.

Here is a before pic of what the property used to look like. As you will see, lots of work was done, inside and out, to turn it into what it is today.

Here is a quick little tour of Randi’s house in Martha’s Vineyard.

Here is what the back of the house looks like. There is a pool and a hot tub here, making this home such an amazing place to chillax. As you can see, there is also a bunch of lounge chairs by the pool area so you can tan and bask in the sun. The plants and flowers around the area make you feel very secluded like you’re in your own relaxation bubble.

Here is a peek into the beautiful living room space. There is also a fireplace that makes the room feel very cozy and relaxing.

This is another living room area in the house. This one is bigger and allows for much more natural light to come in. Behind the couch is also a little dining area, featuring a small dining table and some chairs

Here is a better look at the dining area behind the living room space. It is right by the stairs that lead to the upstairs rooms.

Speaking of dining, this spectacular house in Martha’s Vineyard also features an island countertop with cute little stools. The big windows all around the room were a great place to eat breakfast and lunch. You get a nice view of nature while dining, and it really does make you feel like you’re in your own world here.

You can get another great view of nature outside by this bathtub. It creates such a relaxing environment and all the worries just melt away.

Furniture Inspiration

Going out to Martha’s Vineyard was a phenomenal trip. The views were amazing and the weather was perfect. I would highly recommend going there at some point in the summer if you can. There are many rental properties out there that you can choose to rent out for a couple of days.

Here I’ve curated some furniture and decor pieces if you want to design your own home to reflect the Martha’s Vineyard vibe.

That level of control is what makes the result so specific. Rich materials, sculptural forms, cinematic lighting but nothing feels decorative for its own sake. Every detail was considered as part of one complete vision, and you feel it in every room. ✨

Natural light is the one thing every room has in c Natural light is the one thing every room has in common here, but the window shape, wall material, and time of day make each one feel like an entirely different experience. ☀️
It’s a reminder that light isn’t just a condition in a room. It’s a design decision.

This 300-year-old Belgian château redesigned by a This 300-year-old Belgian château redesigned by a French interior designer and architect, Nathan Litera @nathanlitera is a beautiful reminder that good design isn’t about replacing the past, but learning how to live with it. You see it in the preserved millwork, the original fireplaces, the parquet floors, and then in the quiet contrast of contemporary lighting, cleaner silhouettes, and restrained color.
The magic is in the balance. The newer pieces don’t compete with the architecture. They feel intentional, calm, and completely at ease. Nothing is overly styled. Nothing distracts. History stays front and center while the space still feels entirely livable today.
Here’s how to bring that same feeling into your own home:
* Keep your base timeless — neutral walls, classic materials, architectural details if you have them
* Let contrast do the work — modern lighting or furniture against traditional bones instantly updates a space
* Edit your palette — keep colors within a tight range and let texture and form do the talking
* Invest in materials — marble, wood, plaster. They age beautifully and never feel out of place
It’s not about recreating a château. It’s about understanding the feeling that quiet kind of luxury that doesn’t need to announce itself.
Save this for when you want your space to feel layered, timeless, and truly considered. ✨

Sharing with you a day in my life here in Paris. ESharing with you a day in my life here in Paris. Every day for the last few months has been the greatest day ever here. Even days that are not event filled feel special in Paris.
Started with French class on this day. I was taking classes at L'Alliance Français because living here means actually trying to belong here and speak the language.
Then off to the Hôtel de Crillon @rosewoodhoteldecrillon ,a historic palace hotel overlooking Place de la Concorde, known for its timeless interiors and quiet kind of luxury, catching up with a friend like it was the most ordinary thing...in extraordinary place.
So even though nothing momentous happened...wanted to show you what my every greatest day life looks like in Paris.
This city keeps surprising me. 🖤
