Dueling sofas in front of a marble fireplace in the den of a multi million dollar NYC town house. (above) |
Uhmmm…so it is Monday and maybe I should consider moving to New York! Just kidding. Well maybe…no just kidding…maybe? No no no…just kidding…well…well…maybe?
In all seriousness (sort of) …I have found a house though that could make me leave my little tiny cottage in the Hollywood Hills for the Big Apple.
Just one thing is holding me back…I’d need to find millions of dollars to snap up this real estate listing.
Here it is. A little old $20 million dollar, 7200 square foot triplex with 6 bedrooms, 5 full baths, 2 partial baths in the West Village. This darling home is list listed by Sotheby’s International Realty. The home is located on the brick lined Horatio Street. This historic townhouse was originally built in 1870 and then in 2012 it got a total makeover and was completely gutted and modernized.
I like…what do you think?
Open kitchen with marble counters and stainless appliances! (above) |
The grand dining room! (above) |
Lots of room, natural light and a fireplace in the master bedroom. (above) |
The master bath – a statuary marble bath in a bathroom with encasement windows with views of the Highline and a fabulous skylight! (above) |
This little guest room would be perfect for visitors. (above) |

What do you think? Would a home like this entice you to move to NYC? If you live in NYC already, would love to know your thoughts on this space and the price!
Happy Monday!

Beautiful! Overall I would need more color – but the marble bath is incredible!

It is extraordinary to me how many wonderful places there are to live in this world.. This one would do nicely for a time. Thank you for sharing this.
WHAT a FINE house. I could easily live there…oh but those winters.
It is beautiful. I have no idea about that price, but if it is in line with others in the hood, I’d buy it ( in a dream world.) I love all the white. Makes me want to clean my house.

I usually gravitate more towards colorful spaces, but this house proves that neutral design is divine.
It’s quite lovely, but if you are hot here on the West Coast, imagine how sweltering it is in NYC. You are not moving! Though, if $10 million fell into my lap and $10 million fell into yours, I wouldn’t mind splitting the home with you. After all, one could get lost in there all by themselves. Plus, our dogs would be in heaven running up and down those stairs!
Love it – would move there in a second. Plus I am starting to develop a thing for stairs into the kitchen. ~Lyvonne
That is one hell of a bathroom! But meh..not worth that much money I think 🙂
Wow, what a lovely home!
It’s all so beautiful. Would take it in a heartbeat. Except I HATE that too small dining room table. Hate it.
I love the living area, I like the contrast of the matching sofa and large picture in a deep colour against a natural rug.
