SEE THIS HOUSE: A $45 MILLION DOLLAR MALIBU MEDITERRANEAN MANSE!

June 28, 2012

living room with hard wood floor, white dueling sofas and armchairs, a large area rug, a fireplace and a large mirror on the mantel with a view of the second level and the ocean

What has its own beach, sits on 6.6 acres of land, has 11,313 square feet of interior space, 7 bedrooms, 8.5 baths, a tennis court, pool, guest house, two offices a theater and so much more? Well it is this Mediterranean villa on Paradise Cove Bluffs in Malibu, California. Oh did I mention the price tag of $45 million!

This beach home is listed by Coldwell Bankers Preview. It was built originally in 1975.

Need to think about whether if given to me I would take…hmmm…let’s consider together…here’s a look!

courtyard view of a Malibu mansion with star shaped Moroccan tile fountain and tile walkways
foyer with glazed Saltillo tile floor and stairs with arched entryways into other rooms
I like the glazed Saltillo tile floor and the stairs in the foyer. (above)
living room with exposed beams, dueling sofas, wood floors, a large area rug, a fireplace and gorgeous ocean views
The living room with exposed beams and ocean views is not too shabby! (above)
breakfast nook with tile floor, round wood table surrounded by white upholstered chairs and glass walls showing off the beautiful ocean and garden views
patio with blue tile floor and wooden arm chairs and sofa with white cushions
Patio furnishings need a little sprucing up but the views are great! (above)
exterior of Malibu mansion overlooking the backyard
alternative view of the backyard with a view of the pacific ocean
Ahhh…the Pacific Ocean right in your backyard! (above)

Okay…so what do you think? If given the chance to live in this manse and make it your own, would you…could you?

Happy Thursday!

P.S.  My aunt MA in Boston recently sent me these gorgeous vintage Christofle silver champagne coupes that I suppose would be wonderful for serving dessert as well. I love them.  Now I must do some entertaining to use them! Thank you MA!

My new Christofle from my aunt…will help make a beautiful table setting! (above)

P.P.S. Had a great dinner at Cafe Stella in Silverlake last night. Wonderful French cafe. Was with AG, KD and AT. We had a great time. Evening ended with me and KD dancing at the valet stand because when we arrived there to get our cars…there was no valet but there was a Madonna album blasting at the valet station…only in L.A. …so we danced…making lemonade out of lemons I guess!!

    I suppose I could live here…. 🙂
Amazing, the view and the home are to die for!! I am typically not one for those tiles, but considering everything else is kept white, bright and airy, I guess they are staying.

    Thank you for sharing.

    Hi Coco,

What a great aunt you have! Is it your bday or a special anniversary or do you just have an amazing aunt who randomly sends you gifts, if so, if she needs another niece let me know 😉 Your Christofles would look gorgeous with raspberry sorbet and sprigs of mint in them.

    🙂

I would love to have breakfast in that dining area with that incredible view! I am not crazy about the blue columns but hey, those can be painted. 🙂 I would love to live there minus the mortgage payment!

I’m actually looking for a house with that kind of ceiling beams in the living room!! But I Guess the ocean is getting too expensive to look at, from a house like this … Mmmmmm strange thing considering that the ocean is for free…
Not a huge fan of that tiles… When I was a kid my house had them and I can still smell the wax the maid used to make them shine. 😉

I don’t love the tiles, but I GUESS I could make myself live there. If I had to, you know.

Life doesn’t always look the way we imagined it woLife doesn’t always look the way we imagined it would.
There will be seasons when everything seems to be falling into place, and seasons when we’re simply trying to find our footing again.
Both matter.
You don’t have to rush through the hard seasons or feel behind because you’re not where you thought you’d be.
Give yourself permission to grow at your own pace. What’s happening beneath the surface matters too.
Trust the process. Trust your timing. Keep going. ✨

Want a bedroom that feels cozy, warm, and invitingWant a bedroom that feels cozy, warm, and inviting? Start with these simple changes:
1. Layer your bedding. Mix sheets, a duvet, quilts, and throw blankets to create that plush, lived-in look.
2. Add warm lighting. Swap harsh overhead lighting for bedside lamps, sconces, or a statement light with a warm glow.
3. Bring in plenty of texture. Think linen, velvet, boucle, chunky knits, and soft rugs.
4. Keep the palette warm and calming. Soft neutrals, earthy tones, and muted colors instantly make a room feel more restful.
5. Mix in natural materials. Wood, rattan, woven accents, and stone add warmth and character.
6. Make the walls feel personal. Art, photographs, or even a statement headboard can make the room feel more finished.
7. Add something organic. A vase of branches, fresh flowers, or a little greenery can bring the room to life.
The goal isn’t to make your bedroom perfect. It’s to make it feel like a place you actually want to retreat to at the end of the day.
Save this for your next bedroom refresh. 🤎

Summer is when this courtyard really comes alive.Summer is when this courtyard really comes alive. 🌸
One thing I’ve learned is that every outdoor space needs a focal point. It gives your eye a place to land and makes the whole space feel more intentional.
In this courtyard, the bougainvillea naturally becomes that focal point, adding color, height, and movement without overwhelming the space.
If you’re designing your own patio or garden, start with one standout feature, then let everything else support it.
Save this tip for your next outdoor project. ✨
