A delightful European abode indeed! This one was renovated by two antique dealers to house their collection of flea market finds. This mansion is Antwerp, Belgium. Greys, taupes, whites are used throughout. The living room: a former barn that was built out to include a massive and impressive fireplace!
I think I would happily live in this mansion. A European getaway perhaps!
A barn was converted into the home’s living room where a massive fireplace takes center stage. (above) |
The kitchen island is an old shop counter and the floors feature a terra cotta tile in a hexagon pattern. (above) |
More tile in the library…this time a blue geometric pattern works with the classic carved wood shelving and the traditional furnishings including a lovely blue settee. (above) |
What do you think of this Belgian mansion? Take it or leave it? Any room suit you?
Happy Tuesday!

Love it – could easily move in as well. Especially love the bathroom. A mixture of styles, old wood and metal drawers then gold mirrors and chandelier and sleek slipper bath – it’s gorgeous
The kitchen is a poem… a visual poem!! I could be there all day long… just watching it!! (notice I haven’t said EATING!!)
Gorgeous…love that first image and all the beautiful flooring!!
Love Antwerp! I lived there for over a year. This home brings me back there. Lovely spaces!
All of these rooms are incredible …..I’m loving the large mirrors, the doors leading into the living room and I’m especially taken by the kitchen and the floors, the settee and the large mirror in the library.
I think I could live in that bathroom… I love the mixture of textures. I woudldn’t think to include a rustic silver metal chest, but it actually looks perfect.
You know it’d be hard, but some one has to live like this and I am very happy to make that sacrifice… I think it would be especially taxing spending time in that gorgeous living room! Thanks for sharing this magnificent Mansion!
LOVE.IT.ALL!!!! I am such a sucker for this type of home. I could move in tomorrow 🙂 Thanks for sharing!! – Becky
It’s all about Belgium these days and I’m loving the influence.
drooling…….smiles
I love it — especially the unusual mosaic floors. So much character, and an easy elegance that you can live with.
Exquisite! Would be a fun place to stay!
Love that soaking tub & floor to ceiling mirror. I’m working on a project with a similar feel right now actually…

I love love love this house, and knew it looked familiar, as I had admired it somewhere before…turns out I had seen it before on Willow Decor’s Belgian Dream House post: http://willowdecor.blogspot.com/2011/05/belgian-dream-house.html
BUT — although the living room is obviously the same, if you compare the pictures of the kitchens they seem different — or maybe there is more than one kitchen area? Looking at the floors in the kitchen and dining area, I am wondering if there aren’t two working kitchen areas with the dining area in the center — do you know? There are also many more pictures of this beautiful mansion here:http://www.arcobaleno.ws/home.html
It is just a gorgeous place — thank you for sharing the additional photos of it!
I want to live in a Belgian Mansion! I noticed that the books are pulled to the front of the shelves in the library picture. Good Feng Shui!
I love it!! Drawn mostly to the kitchen..Perfect. The huge doors into the drawing room are glorious! Oh to live here.
