SEE THIS HOUSE: A SEATTLE AREA HOME FULL OF VISUAL TEXTURE!

Family room designed by Graciela Rutkowski with trellis patterned carpet, two animal print armchairs, a taupe sofa with blue accent pillows, a blue upholstered ottoman, a black fireplace with a white frame, built in bookcases with the back of the shelves painted black and a coffered ceiling
Wall to wall brown trellis pattern carpet makes a great statement in a Seattle area home’s family room. (above)

I like this home decorated by Seattle based interior designer Graciela Rutkowski. Just the right amount of texture and the perfect infusion of colors.

Love the trellis rug in the family room that in a way mirrors the coiffered ceiling there. The floor is doing double duty…functional soft carpeting while also making a design statement.

Some other highlights for me: the bright green chairs in the dining room, the Kelly Wearstler fabric upholstered kitchen area dining chair, and the soft blue velvet tufted headboard in the master bedroom.

Dark dining room with dark brown walls, a large landscape painting, a crystal chandelier, bright apple green upholstered chairs, and two white lattice pots on a dark table
A nice contrast of color and textures in the dining room with bright apple green upholstered chairs and dark brown painted walls. (above and below)
Dinning room with dark brown walls, a dark wood floor, a sea grass area rug, Kelly Wearstler fabric upholstered chairs, a large picture window with green floor length curtains and a crystal chandelier
Living room dueling sofas with several graphic patterned and ikat pillows, a black coffee table, two animal print upholstered x-stools, dark wood floor with sea grass area rug, a large fireplace with a piece of colorful modern art on the mantel and a moulded ceiling
Textiles add the texture in the home’s living room with several graphic patterned and ikat pillows and two animal print upholstered x-stools. (above)
Kitchen with darkwood floor, white drawers and cabinets, stainless appliances, two pendant lights, an island with a marble countertop and white base surrounded by orange counter stools
Love the orange counter stools nestled under the kitchen island. (above)
Informal dining room with a long trestle wood table, a mix of chairs and a sofa for seating, a large encasement window and floor length lime green graphic printed curtains
The informal dining area features a long trestle wood table and a mix of chairs and a sofa for seating! (above)
Bedroom with blue upholstered headboard, taupe walls, a crystal chandelier, a white nightstand, an arched vintage inspired mirror and an upholstered bench at the foot of the bed with a jack russell terrier sitting on it.

What do you think of the textures in this home? Like or don’t like? Please do tell.

Happy Thursday!

I just caught up on a lot of your prior posts! The apartment in Paris looks great! I can smell the coffee and the croissants!
    Enjoy!

I cannot agree with you more about the bright green chairs in the dining room. The mixture of colors, textures, and accessories is absolutely wonderful. The animal print is also a nice touch, one of my favorites!

I love how white marble countertops are so timeless and versatile! For example, those orange chairs would look good ANY color! Although, I do love the orange :-)Crocodile Rocks in the Seattle area have the BEST selection of stone slabs!

    Happy designing!

Behind-the-scenes: Fun work trip to visit the COCOBehind-the-scenes: Fun work trip to visit the COCOCOZY bedding collection at the Welspun showroom in New York. Met with some buyers, had a fun time with the Welspun team, then capped off the weekend with a visit with friends. It is a long process to get bedding in stores across the country...showing the collections at textiles market is one of the first steps!
If you're interested in learning how I have gotten @cococozy products into stores around the country over the years including in major retailers...follow along...just one entrepreneur's journey. :)

Today is my birthday but...I don’t want to celeb Today is my birthday but...I don’t want to celebrate...I want to help.
I want to make a meaningful impact in our greater Los Angeles community suffering from the fires. I invite you to join me in transforming birthday wishes into support for one local organization on the ground in Pasadena/Altadena.
I have made a contribution today already to the LA Fire Relief Fund created by @victorybiblechurch in Pasadena. They are actively assisting families in need in both Pasadena and Altadena who have been affected by the devastating Eaton Fire.
Although I don't have a personal connection to Pastor DeCuir or the church, I was searching for an organization that is helping in the Altadena area. A well respected civil rights attorney I follow @leemerrittesq is on the ground helping the church members and community members with legal services in the wake of the fires. I hope by contributing to their efforts, we can extend a helping hand to those facing significant challenges during this difficult time
To donate, please visit their website at https://vbcpasadena.org/ (link in bio as well). Every contribution, no matter the size, brings hope and relief to those who need it most. Tell them you heard about them from me.
Your generosity to the Los Angeles community is the best birthday gift I could ask for.

Happy New Year! 🎉✨ As we step into this freshHappy New Year! 🎉✨ As we step into this fresh chapter, I’m reminded of the beauty of starting anew and I like recommitting to goals at the top of the year. Nothing set in stone but just an overall vision of what I'd like to do and who I would hope to help along the way.
This year, my mantra is: **dream big, act boldly, treasure the small joys, continue to lead with kindness and to have as much empathy as possible for others **. Just a few things...😂
I’m also deeply committed to helping people who follow along to achieve their dreams. I'll be curating captivating interior design inspiration with COCOCOZY that will hopefully give you ideas and dreams for your own space. I will also be empowering you to realize the value of your influence with Chirpyest by earning cash back for sharing and shopping. I hope to be open about the journey of the COCOCOZY product line. I want to share real time behind the scenes how the line is being built and how we are growing Chirpyest; both examples of the not so linear journey of building businesses from the ground up. I hope these stories spark you to push your own boundaries and shake out of your comfort zones.
Lastly, in 2025, I’m committed to surrounding myself with people who have a positive vibe about them while striving to be that same light for others. Luckily, I have a great start on this with an amazing family and fantastic group of friends - a fantastic support network.
My wish for you in 2025: May this year bring you clarity, courage, and the confidence to pursue all that makes you happy.
What’s one thing you’re committing to in 2025? Let’s inspire each other in the comments! 💬❤️
Let's get to this...am ready 2025!
