Bird mural in AT’s London flat (above)
AT, my very good friend (one of my best), an ex-pat who lives in London, just sent me this photo of a fabulous mural she commissioned for her sitting room wall in her flat in Hampstead Heath…err..well…it isn’t quite a mural…here is what AT wrote me about her find from a French company:
Email from AT (below):
“well i finally found some pictures of my place … but they aren’t great … i will try and get a camera and take some good shots … the only one i might use for your blog would be 012_22A …
this is a picture (above) of my wall in my living room … i got it from this excellent french website DOMESTIC…
it is sort of like an alternative to wallpaper except they are stickers … so they are cheaper and you can change them … IT IS THE BEST!
They have an amazing selection. I put the one with the birds on my wall in my living room cause i’ve been a little bird motif crazy lately!
i also have this one on the glass in my conservatory… it looks like vines on the outside … it is awesome …
people always comment on them … a date i had over the other night, thought i painted them! what can I say, he’s blind …needless to say, he was a tad disappointed when he found out they were stickers!”
Stop-End of AT’s email.
Doesn’t AT know, a girl has to keep some secrets to herself!
Anyway, now that the cat is out of the bag, AT recommends the following appliques/wall stickers from Domestic:
Clearly these choices reflect AT’s humor…notice she chose none of these recommendations for her flat.
The website features prices in Euros but it is looking like each wall sticker is running about $150-$250 USD.
Thank you AT…this is a really charming idea for those who might want to dress up their plain walls!
