BRIGHT COLORS IN A MONTAUK BEACH HOUSE – PART 2!

Guestroom at a beach house in New York by Ghislaine Vinas with kelly green walls, white trim, green and white brocade wallpaper on the ceiling, black accessories, and a graphic white lacquer headboard
Kelly green walls, white trim and black accessories and accents make for a stylish and modern guestroom at a beach house in Montauk, New York. The ceiling makes an impact too as it is covered in green and white brocade wallpaper!(above)

Ooops. Rewind. Back to a previous post.

Here are two more colorful spaces at the Montauk beach house featured earlier this week – a Ghislaine Vinas designed home. A green bedroom for guests and a hot pink powder room – interior designer Ghislaine takes risks with color that pay off!

This particular pink and this particular green are the preppiest of preppy colors. A classic Kelly green and a bright bubble gum pink. Two classics get an injection of whimsical modern in this large Long Island weekend home.

Small hot pink bathroom in a Beach House in New York by Ghislaine Vinas with mirror with a shell trim, chandelier and a pedestal sink
No fear of color in this small bathroom…hot pink walls and a purple chandelier add a daring element of style and design to this washroom! Notice the mirror frame covered in shells and the white coral wall sconce too! Don’t think I’ve ever seen bright pink wainscoting!(above)

Thank you again Ghislaine!

Hope you readers all have a great Friday!

P.P.S. These Montauk posts have been an interesting departure for me because I am such a color-phobe (my colors are white, green, brown, other neutrals and a splash of turquoise here and there)…now, I might have to consider adding some bright colors here and there into my own home! Hmmm…

a small part of me wishes my husband wasn’t so opinionated about decor . . . otherwise I would totally be on board with a house full of these colors! so fabulous!

Really like that you’re bold with your colors. My wife harps on people for living their lives out in a taupe world. Especially enjoyed the pink!

Do you know where someone might get a shelfing unit such as the one in the green guest room?
    Thanks!
