STRIPES & CHEVRON TOGETHER? – FEARLESS DECOR PART 2

August 9, 2013

blue white dining room zigzag chevron cement tile floor striped stripe wall morocco home

Last week I showed you a bright pink living room and said that was fearless.  This week I bring you a home in Morocco with a wild blue chevron pattern floor and bold stripe walls!  Wow!

Could you do it?

Would you go fearless or play it safe?

FEARLESS – Cement handmade tiles…

SAFE – Or try a rug to get the same look!

So regarding the rooms above…I would probably do the floor but not the stripe walls.  I love the idea of a beautiful graphic pattern tile on the floor.

See the rest of the decor on decor on Elle Decor’s site.

Happy Friday!

Love these patterns together. I thought it would be overwhelming but it’s perfect!

I love when people are fearless with their design! It can really backfire, though, if not done right. I think what makes this so successful is how BIG the stripes are. Can you imagine the headache if they were small stripes?! Eek!

Obsessed! I have to admit I was a little unsure, but seriously, this space is so glam! In love!

Designed by @bychenai, a prolific and talented London based wedding and events planner, this wedding is a study in thoughtful design and artful creative direction. We say well done Chenai!
Long tables arranged in a maze-like formation created a striking design, while still allowing 350 guests to move throughout the space. A rich brown and gold palette brought warmth and depth, paired with refined tabletops and lush floral centerpieces.
