I took this photo last week when neighbors JH and MR invited me and TE over to their house for a lovely midweek barbecue last week where we dined outside on their brick patio under lovely string lights. (above)
Then…last week, my dear neighbors JH and MR invited me and my guy TE over for a midweek barbecue. We sat outside…laughed, talked and ate delicious food all under the glow of lovely outdoor string lights (the Edison bulb style) lights. You can see in the picture I took below…the lights warmed up the dinner setting and made for a cozy comfy meal at their outdoor woven table and chairs – we stayed for 3 hours!
Anyhoooo….all of this to say is that in Summer 2014…when dining or entertaining outdoors…string lights with a wonderful clear bulb are clearly the best way to add a bit of mood lighting to your setting. One rope or 10 ropes…any number seem to do the trick. Right?

Note to self…must get some string lights for my deck over my outdoor dining table immediately. TE is out of town so he cannot hang them for me but my contractor is coming by on Thursday morning…maybe I can beg him to hang mine for me…damsel in distress in need of string lights…right?
