Today is my birthday but...I don’t want to celeb Today is my birthday but...I don’t want to celebrate...I want to help. I want to make a meaningful impact in our greater Los Angeles community suffering from the fires. I invite you to join me in transforming birthday wishes into support for one local organization on the ground in Pasadena/Altadena. I have made a contribution today already to the LA Fire Relief Fund created by @victorybiblechurch in Pasadena. They are actively assisting families in need in both Pasadena and Altadena who have been affected by the devastating Eaton Fire. Although I don't have a personal connection to Pastor DeCuir or the church, I was searching for an organization that is helping in the Altadena area. A well respected civil rights attorney I follow @leemerrittesq is on the ground helping the church members and community members with legal services in the wake of the fires. Holiday sparkle...🎄🌲🎄🌲. My Christmas t Holiday sparkle...🎄🌲🎄🌲. My Christmas tree just got decorated this past weekend. A little late but it is glistening in full glory. Every year I debate between a real or fake tree. I survey everyone I know deliberating. And every year I get a real tree. This year I got a 9 foot Fraser fir and am loving it. Something about the piney smell of a real tree that I love. I also toyed with not getting a tree at all but no that too was not a real option. For me, putting up a tree reminds me of my grandmother and her love for the holiday season. The season of giving. She made us give gifts and money to people in need every year. Teaching us the meaning of this season. Hopefully, in the midst of the hustle and bustle, each of you experiences some holiday joy and happiness. This tree certainly makes me happy.
