Outdoor Breakfast Area in Lush Garden

May 19, 2012
  • Share
outdoor dining area with a brick floor in the middle of a garden

An outdoor dining area for breakfast, lunch or dinner…right in the middle of a lush garden. I like.

Can’t wait until summer to do a little entertaining outdoors. Getting everything in shape in my own garden and yard to make things sparkle for summer dinner parties.

Hmmm…thinking…getting some ideas!

Where do you like to entertain and have meals during the summer…at home, outside, at a restaurant :-)? Do tell. Any tricks to doing an outdoor dinner right that you might want to share? Would love to hear.

Happy Saturday!

xo

How idyllic! I wish this Texas heat wasn’t so intense so I could have a nice little space like this!

    Cheers, Elizabeth

This is very close to the plans I have for my own back garden. Since I’m doing every inch of it myself, it’s taking longer than I’d like, and until now I’ve put people off when they wanted to visit. I’ve decided no longer! People are much more important than things, and I don’t want to miss another summer playing with my pals!

The Mute. 220 sqm of Haussmannian light in eastern The Mute. 220 sqm of Haussmannian light in eastern Paris, dressed entirely in white.
Old-world plasterwork meets contemporary furniture, and warm brown-stained wood quietly anchors every room. A conversation between heritage and modernity that never raises its voice. By @atelierdaaa 🤍

Red rooms. No half measures, no accent walls. Just Red rooms. No half measures, no accent walls. Just full, total, committed red.
From crimson kitchens to scarlet bathrooms, swipe through the spaces that prove one color is always enough.
Which one would you live in? 🔴

Did you know one Sunday a month, the Champs-ÉlyséeDid you know one Sunday a month, the Champs-Élysées closes to traffic entirely?
No cars. Just people, walking straight down the center with the Arc de Triomphe ahead. Then I walked home over The Seine. It had just rained, and the sky was doing something extraordinary. And of course, the Eiffel Tower showed up right on cue.
Paris on a quiet Sunday is something else. 🖤

This St Germain apartment, designed by Félix Millo This St Germain apartment, designed by Félix Millory @felixmillory , is defined by two things: a tightly controlled material palette and a sculptural art collection that runs through every room without exception.
Travertine frames every doorway. Dark smoked oak covers the joinery and cabinetry. Grey marble runs across the kitchen counters and island. Within that framework, figurative sculptures on the shelves, a large totemic piece at the entrance, stone forms on the dining table, a large-format artwork in the kitchen. Every room has at least one object that demands your attention. 🗿
→ Save this if you’re designing around a sculpture collection.
