Coastal White Bedroom

November 5, 2011
  • Share
White bedroom, velvet slip covered arm chair, white bedding, white fireplace with tile chimney, French doors and an A-frame ceiling

Check out this Coastal White Bedroom. This is the perfect bedroom in my view. An all white room, lots of light, cozy and well appointed.   Modern and traditional combined to make a serene space.  Love the slouchy brown velvet slipcovered arm chair, the crisp white bedding, the simple lighting in the form of table and floor lamps and those French doors opening to a wonderful view.  Lastly, I like the A frame ceiling – gives it an attic feel…maybe it is an attic!

Simplicity and perfection!

What do you think?

Happy happy Saturday!

I think that if I slept in that room I would wake up as fresh as the room looks. The French doors really open up the space to the amazing view and the inviting balcony. The only thing I would change is the shiny tile on the fireplace. Love the slouchy velvet chair in the corner…

PS …and I would add some fresh flowers in the the room.

The nearly all white color palette is intimidating for me – I tend to spoil white interiors pretty quickly. But, it is wonderful to look at!

I personally like the shiny tile. Just adds another layer of texture to a really cool room.

A thoughtfully styled tablescape can:
• Make guests feel instantly welcome.
• Encourage people to linger a little longer.
• Turn an ordinary meal into a memorable experience.
• Reflect your personal style without saying a word.
The best part? It doesn’t have to be elaborate. A few layers, fresh flowers, candlelight, or beautiful dinnerware can completely change the atmosphere. 💐
Because the most memorable gatherings aren’t always the fanciest. They’re the ones where everyone feels at home.
What’s one detail you always include when setting your table?

A great vaulted ceiling doesn’t just add height. It changes how a room feels entirely. The best ones make you stop, look up, and never want to leave.

Does this improve the room’s function?
Does it create a better focal point?
Does it make the space easier to walk through?
If the answer is “no” to all three, maybe it’s just the rearranging itch talking. 😅

Black is not a bold choice. It’s a neutral, and one of the most versatile ones in design.
The rooms that get it right treat black the same way others treat white or greige: as a foundation that lets everything else breathe. The texture of the wall. The warmth of the wood. The drama of the marble. Black doesn’t compete, it amplifies.
