Cozy Bedroom, Weekend Chronicles, & My Gratitude to Bloggers

Bedroom with a wall of drapes doubling as a headboard

Exploring Cozy Bedroom Aesthetics

Nice little cozy bedroom I think. I like the wall of drapes behind the bed acting almost as a headboard of sorts. Because I get absolutely no sleep during the week and just a little more than no sleep on the weekends, I often muse or should I say dream about comfy beds and sleeping!!! Note to self: make time for sleep.

A Fun-Filled Weekend and Social Media Jitters

So far it has been a good weekend. Yesterday I ran around all day and got nothing done…good times. Then I went to my friend CJ’s birthday party last night at Stark Bar. Iwearing the same clothes I was running around all day in. Party was fun. I kept ducking from being photographed though. CJ has a huge Nikon camera that she was allowing all of her friends to use to take photos of the event. I have this great fear of being tagged in photos on Facebook so I spent the whole night dodging and darting out of photos. It was quite ridiculous on my part. Between the hiding and ducking, I did catch up up with some friends I hadn’t seen in awhile…like dearest of friend AZ!

Expressing Gratitude to Jen Ramos: A Valuable Connection

Also wanted to thank Jen Ramos of uber blog Made by Girl for the nice post she did about a COCOCOZY throw. Jen also has a fantastic Made by Girl shop site where she sells fantastic prints, stationery and more. I emailed Jen about 9 months ago asking her who did her website because I needed some help with revamping my blog and building a shop site for me. She emailed me back almost immediately and told me that her “guy” (husband) did it (I point out her kindness in emailing me back because I had inquired to other fellow bloggers for recommendations and was met with a bit of a wall of silence). So I called Jen’s guy (husband) in a desperate panic (after a majorly failed attempt with another web designer) and he easily came to the rescue! Jen’s guy redesigned my blog beautifully and built my lovely COCOCOZY shop site. So as a thank you for her help in making the connection, I sent Jen a thank you present and she in turn put up a nice post just this last Friday (by the way Jen is one powerful blogger…if you could have seen how many more readers came to my site after she said a nice word or two…you would be amazed). Anyway, all of this to say…thank you twice over Jen! Thank you for the help 9 months ago and thank you for the nice thank you post!

Well today is design day for me…starting to think about new designs for the collection. Wish me luck.

Happy Sunday! Hope you have a wonderful day.

Sounds like you had a great weekend! I thought that was so nice of you to send Jen the throw (which btw is on my wish list). Both of you are so nice and are wonderful bloggers. I hope the rest of your day goes well!

Stunning bedroom. High contrast but soft with a gorgeous chandelier! I also really love the drapes behind the bed and the patterned rug. Good work!

I have had the same issue with the whole”hey can I PAY you to help re-vamp my blog” conundrum. I guess no-one wants or needs to work cause I also have been met with quite a few un-returned emails..
Love your blog!!!Love your new line!!!

Gorgeous bedroom, but I’m SO curious as to what’s behind the drapes! Storage, creating a faux wall, or just the wall?

I equate your wall of silence to people not giving out their babysitter’s number. They are afraid either the rates or demand will go up. I give out my sitter’s number.

    Love the pics today, too.

Natural light is the one thing every room has in c Natural light is the one thing every room has in common here, but the window shape, wall material, and time of day make each one feel like an entirely different experience. ☀️
It’s a reminder that light isn’t just a condition in a room. It’s a design decision.

This 300-year-old Belgian château redesigned by a This 300-year-old Belgian château redesigned by a French interior designer and architect, Nathan Litera @nathanlitera is a beautiful reminder that good design isn’t about replacing the past, but learning how to live with it. You see it in the preserved millwork, the original fireplaces, the parquet floors, and then in the quiet contrast of contemporary lighting, cleaner silhouettes, and restrained color.
The magic is in the balance. The newer pieces don’t compete with the architecture. They feel intentional, calm, and completely at ease. Nothing is overly styled. Nothing distracts. History stays front and center while the space still feels entirely livable today.
Here’s how to bring that same feeling into your own home:
* Keep your base timeless — neutral walls, classic materials, architectural details if you have them
* Let contrast do the work — modern lighting or furniture against traditional bones instantly updates a space
* Edit your palette — keep colors within a tight range and let texture and form do the talking
* Invest in materials — marble, wood, plaster. They age beautifully and never feel out of place
It’s not about recreating a château. It’s about understanding the feeling that quiet kind of luxury that doesn’t need to announce itself.
Save this for when you want your space to feel layered, timeless, and truly considered. ✨

Sharing with you a day in my life here in Paris. ESharing with you a day in my life here in Paris. Every day for the last few months has been the greatest day ever here. Even days that are not event filled feel special in Paris.
Started with French class on this day. I was taking classes at L'Alliance Français because living here means actually trying to belong here and speak the language.
Then off to the Hôtel de Crillon @rosewoodhoteldecrillon ,a historic palace hotel overlooking Place de la Concorde, known for its timeless interiors and quiet kind of luxury, catching up with a friend like it was the most ordinary thing...in extraordinary place.
So even though nothing momentous happened...wanted to show you what my every greatest day life looks like in Paris.
This city keeps surprising me. 🖤

A soft touch of pink, layered into the space. Not A soft touch of pink, layered into the space. Not overpowering, just enough to warm everything up, walls, upholstery, even the smallest details.
It shifts the mood completely. Calmer, softer, and a little more lived in.
Save this if you’re leaning toward softer, warmer spaces. 🌸
