Blue sky, clouds, red lanterns…(above)
Was at an art opening a few weeks back at Los Angeles art gallery, The Happy Lion. Went to see Bubble & Squeak – a show featuring the latest amazing work by my favorite contemporary artist Brian Wills. The Happy Lion is on Chung King Road here in L.A., a wonderful walking street in Chinatown. I was outside of the gallery and looked up for a moment and this is what I saw – a wonderful smattering of puffy white clouds and strings of bright red lanterns.
Hope you enjoy as much as I did. Happy beginning of August!

Great picture. The clouds and sky are gorgeous, and the lanterns look like air baloons. Pretty sight. Hope you are having a super day. Hugs, Marty

Great pictures. Were the lanterns hung up during Chinese New Year?
Hi Joe…these lanterns are up all of the time on Chung King road I think…it is a cute little walking only street in downtown Los Angeles.
