WEEKEND PHOTO: DESIGNING A PERFECT PORCH PARTY!

September 3, 2010
  • Share

Outdoor patio with vibrant orange tufted cushion on a teak bench, with a bright green table cloth and accents

Love this cheerful outdoor dinner party setting. The vibrant orange tufted cushion on the teak bench and the bright green table cloth and accents make this porch quite pretty for a summer evening dinner party.

Hmmm…has got me thinking…might have to throw another last minute gathering this weekend on my deck…

What are your plans for the long weekend? Planning any fun parties?

Hope you have a great Labor Day Weekend!

I was thinking the same thing…I might have to have an end-of-season BBQ. But first, my goal is to finish painting my credenza.

    Have a great holiday.

Some days you’ll feel inspired and everything seems to click. Other days, you’ll question what you’re doing and wonder if any of it is actually working.
The important thing is not to mistake a slow day for a step backward.
You can keep going even when the motivation isn’t there. Some days, showing up is the progress.

A little change of scenery, a different view, a few hours away from my usual desk and somehow the workday felt a little lighter.
I’ve found that working somewhere else can be a nice reset when I’m feeling stuck, uninspired, or just too used to the same routine. It’s not necessarily about being more productive; sometimes it’s just about making the day feel different.
