The Lincoln Memorial at night…last weekend…Washington, D.C. (above)
Hope you had a wonderful weekend and are having a nice Sunday night.
The weekend photos are a little late this time around…and yes…this is one weekend (again) where there is more than one WEEKEND PHOTO…hard always to pick just one…I’m just saying.
Anyhoooo…to make things more confusing…these photos were not even taken this weekend…I took them last weekend. I like confusion…readers probably hate it…but just think of this like one of those mind boggling word games or an intricate puzzle. With much concentration, some patience, and a bit of luck you might win….although I would argue the winning of Scrabble is probably far more rewarding than finally deciphering a blog post from a girl named Coco (or so she says) who lives in Los Angeles.
Anyhoooooo 2…here are some photos I took of the Washington Monument and the Lincoln Memorial at about midnight last Saturday night when I was in Washington, D.C. After attending a gorgeous wedding, we had our driver stop at the Lincoln Memorial for a bit (yes we had a driver for some reason. I know…sounds very la dee dah and all but was really more practical than anything else. The wedding was at 10am in D.C. and the wedding reception was at 6:00p in Springfield, VA (I think)). I must rephrase that…I had the bright idea that I wanted to see all of the monuments at night and forced our driver to take us to all of them when all just wanted to go back to the hotel and sleep. My will was stronger than the want for sleep and we ended up on the stairs of the Lincoln Memorial at midnight. Yooohooo! That’s right. It was very very cool. I highly recommend the driver, the monuments at night and comfy bed at the Hay Adams to return to after running up and down the stairs of the Lincoln Memorial in heels.
The Washington Monument on a warm June night. Sorry for the blurry shot! (above)
These monuments are awesome by day and magically majestic by night. I highly recommend a midnight tour if you are in D.C.! I lived there for three years during law school and still am amazed by it all.
Again, sorry for the late weekend photo. Will post about a castle that I would like to own next week…yes…a castle!
xo

These pics take me down to the memory lane – darn, I miss home! But my fave is the Jefferson Memorial by the water. I guess I am still a wahoo at heart.
I used to live in Arlington, VA and I totally miss it there. Love going to DC, it is one of the best cities ever!
