Inspired by my Labor Day post in the Hamptons…today is all about wonderful alleés, tree lined streets and gardens that are So. Beautiful. Hamptons streets are basically a collection of these alleés but I’ve found them in various botanical gardens and even when I was abroad this summer…I think I like the way they make a fabulous first impression. I mean you can’t help but be in awe if you’re walking or driving down one of these streets or pathways. Wouldn’t it be gorgeous to have a long alleé leading up to your private estate tucked away…okay day dreaming has got to stop right about now. A girl can dream right? Anywhoo…would love to find some local spots where these alleés exist…really peaceful in the craziness of the day to day. Excited for next week…COCOCOZY friend DS is stopping by, although this time we may need to control the amount of rosé consumed over dinner…it was the summer of rosé and now we are moving onto a different drink of choice for fall…maybe back to champagne or do we move onto to white wine? Such a dilemma on this Thursday morning…;)

That second one is so amazing! How old those trees must be. Do people still plan for such distant futures? It’s such an investment in something that may be its most beautiful after one is long gone. Do people think that far ahead anymore?
These pictures made me smile. I want to spend all the weekend walking among the trees, away from the madness of the city!

Thomas
