5 Bold Bathroom Tile Floors

I am obsessed with remodeling kitchens and baths! I think it is because I love seeing great tile and stone installed and the notion that those surfaces are quite permanent. If I had my choice on house, I would have one with 3 kitchens and 7 baths…I would design each of these rooms differently and use a wide array of tile and stone.

Today, though…the focus is bold bathroom tile floors. These bold floors are little out of my comfort zone but I still think they make a marvelous design statement. Bold color, bold pattern, bold texture…no holding back on the floors in these rooms. Cement tiles, mosaic marble basketweave tiels, hexagon ceramic tiles and so much more.

Tip: Notice…if you decide to go extremely bold on the floors…make sure to go very simple on the walls…I would suggest white tile walls or painted walls with bold bathroom floor.

Here is a look.

Best of friend AM has a great bold cement tile floor in her master bathroom in the Hamptons. Hmmm…may need to step up the game in my tiny little cottage in the Hollywood Hills and go bold on the bath floor!

What do you think about bold bath floors!

Love the tile, but there is no information about price? Or how to order?

A balcony this beautiful deserves a tour. 🤍 A litA balcony this beautiful deserves a tour. 🤍
A little peek at one of my favorite outdoor spaces, which I designed years ago. The patterned tile, navy seating, white stucco, and layers of greenery make this balcony feel like a little room all its own.
I love how much personality you can create in a small outdoor space without making it feel overcrowded.
Save this for your next outdoor space refresh. 🍃

Want a bedroom that feels cozy, warm, and invitingWant a bedroom that feels cozy, warm, and inviting? Start with these simple changes:
1. Layer your bedding. Mix sheets, a duvet, quilts, and throw blankets to create that plush, lived-in look.
2. Add warm lighting. Swap harsh overhead lighting for bedside lamps, sconces, or a statement light with a warm glow.
3. Bring in plenty of texture. Think linen, velvet, boucle, chunky knits, and soft rugs.
4. Keep the palette warm and calming. Soft neutrals, earthy tones, and muted colors instantly make a room feel more restful.
5. Mix in natural materials. Wood, rattan, woven accents, and stone add warmth and character.
6. Make the walls feel personal. Art, photographs, or even a statement headboard can make the room feel more finished.
7. Add something organic. A vase of branches, fresh flowers, or a little greenery can bring the room to life.
The goal isn’t to make your bedroom perfect. It’s to make it feel like a place you actually want to retreat to at the end of the day.
Save this for your next bedroom refresh. 🤎

The right chandelier doesn’t just light a room, it becomes the room. Scale, material, placement. When it’s done right, everything else arranges itself around it.

Summer is when this courtyard really comes alive.Summer is when this courtyard really comes alive. 🌸
One thing I’ve learned is that every outdoor space needs a focal point. It gives your eye a place to land and makes the whole space feel more intentional.
In this courtyard, the bougainvillea naturally becomes that focal point, adding color, height, and movement without overwhelming the space.
If you’re designing your own patio or garden, start with one standout feature, then let everything else support it.
Save this tip for your next outdoor project. ✨
