3. STAINLESS STEEL ISLAND – Lots of high-end kitchens are now featuring islands clad in stainless steel. The shiny metal adds an element of shine into any space, modern or traditional.

4. CUSTOMIZABLE DRAWERS – Gone are the days of the standard kitchen drawer with a standard utensil rack. Now kitchen drawers can be customized for any use. Designing a kitchen drawer is an art form in and of itself!

6. DARK WOOD CABINETS – Wood cabinet color trends change from year to year. The super dark wood cabinets are back. Whether in an glossy exotic wood or a sleek dark stain, a rich deep wood color adds luxe drama to a kitchen.

Did you know one Sunday a month, the Champs-ÉlyséeDid you know one Sunday a month, the Champs-Élysées closes to traffic entirely?
No cars. Just people, walking straight down the center with the Arc de Triomphe ahead. Then I walked home over The Seine. It had just rained, and the sky was doing something extraordinary. And of course, the Eiffel Tower showed up right on cue.
Paris on a quiet Sunday is something else. 🖤

This St Germain apartment, designed by Félix Millo This St Germain apartment, designed by Félix Millory @felixmillory , is defined by two things: a tightly controlled material palette and a sculptural art collection that runs through every room without exception.
Travertine frames every doorway. Dark smoked oak covers the joinery and cabinetry. Grey marble runs across the kitchen counters and island. Within that framework, figurative sculptures on the shelves, a large totemic piece at the entrance, stone forms on the dining table, a large-format artwork in the kitchen. Every room has at least one object that demands your attention. 🗿
→ Save this if you’re designing around a sculpture collection.
