A FRESH FASHIONABLE WHITE OPEN KITCHEN

About The White Open Kitchen Design

Here is another cute eat-in kitchen. Clean simple no nonsense modern white kitchen overlooks a long dining table that seats 10. This dining kitchen area combo is very adult so I think they threw in the kid’s toy yellow taxi to say “yes, even hard core modern can be family friendly too”…hee hee!

This is the third dining or kitchen space I’ve posted in a row! I should have just made this an official KITCHEN WEEK. Boooooo….bad planning on my part…oooohhhh…I mean no planning as usual on my part…I never really know what I am going to post day to day…I just make it up as I go along.

The kitchen reminds of these cute spring ensembles. And no it just isn’t the color…it is more about the feel…fresh bright, cheerful, simple, modern but a a tinge of a retro vibe. Am obsessed with Collette Dinnigan’s spring collection…will show you more of that later on. My fashion savvy friend Amie Robinson (aka A-to-the-double-R-O) turned me onto Karen Walker and her spring collection. Something kind of retro modern about the Karen Walker look. Love the yellow swing skirt and simple grey tank. Block colors, neutrals, no frills but it works.

Anyhooo….still lusting after my friends’ kitchen that I posted yesterday. So sorry to say there is no KITCHEN WEEK this week, so dear readers we’ll have to make do with what already is here! Don’t worry, I will get it together soon for a kitchen or bath extravaganza!

Hope you have a fantastic Tuesday!

I actually think it is pretty amazing that you come up with such great content without planning it out more! Good stuff 🙂

This kitchen is really daring with all the white. I don’t think I would have the guts to stick to such a simple plan!

Part 2 - Marathon. So as the saying goes, “if at Part 2 - Marathon. So as the saying goes, “if at first you don’t succeed, try try again.” I will run a marathon. I will hit the road again, train again and I will run. Watch me. Last Sunday, however, wasn’t my marathon day...
I made the best of it nonetheless. If I couldn’t run, I was certainly going to be part of LA spirit and cheer the runners on.
As many may know, I was supposed to be running the Los Angeles Marathon last weekend. After 14 weeks of training and finishing my 19 mile run, I strained a muscle. I went to physical therapy every other day hoping I could still run, but the pain was still there the day before the marathon so I had to call it.
But an injury didn’t stop me from being there. I showed up to Rodeo Drive anyway.
I watched the elite runners fly by, tracked friends, and ended up cheering for three hours. Fast runners, struggling runners, and the later runners still grinding it out.
A friend texted saying she knew the day must have been hard for me. But honestly, it wasn’t. It was just fun, inspiring, and electric.
I will be on the road soon...running a race! Can’t wait!
