A FRIENDLY LOOK AT ACTRESS COURTENEY COX’s MALIBU HOME!

June 13, 2011
  • Share

In the July/August issue of Elle Decor, Actress Courteney Cox (Cougar Town, Friends) opens the doors of her new Malibu home. It is a mid century modern structure that got a super simplified clean look.  The ocean view home vision in white and grey…hard wood floors, some natural stone and concrete.

The decor on the interior of the home does not at all compete with the spectacular views of the water…instead the home, in a very understated way, sets the stage for the panoramic vistas!  Very nice!

What do you think of Courteney Cox’s home?  Too simple or just simple enough?  Did I mention this is an Elle Decor exclusive first look at her house.  So cool.

Happy Monday!

P.S. I am going to cocktail party at interior designer Michael S. Smith’s house honoring the First Lady Michelle Obama after all…it is tonight!  Details tomorrow!

Just simple enough! LOVE IT! I love the clean lines and simple color palette mixed with the rustic natural wood tones (stools in kitchen and bedside table). Nicely done!

I love the house! While I understand wanting a low maintenance home especially when close to the ocean, I would like to see just a touch more purple used. By the way, did you know Courteney’s daughter’s name is Coco?

Does her kid not have any toys?

Gorgeous house, but overstyled for the photo shoot. You should see a teeny bit of real life going on in one’s house, shouldn’t you?

I loved her other house that was featured in ‘In Style’ a fews back. I admire her style, but, I would definitely like to see more color here – it has that Hollywood celeb museum-like look to it, like no one lives there. What is so wrong with color by the beach?? Blues and yellows would look fantastic…:))

Absolutely in love. I think I would probably throw in some color in the form of paintings or cushions, but still works for me 😉

This is my Malibu Dream Home! The decor skews a bit masculine, but I love the simplicity of it. I like the Harland Miller painting too.

I would have added more colour – patterned cushions at the very least?? The outside area is great, I would love to eat breakfast out there. Thanks for sharing.

Meh the beach photo is so overdone and the rest looks like it could have come right off the floor of a mall store a la rate and barrel. Too much grey!

    Have fun with michael
