Excited to share that I’ve recently accepted the #BEHRBox challenge. In the midst of house hunting, I’ve been thinking about what in the world I’m going to do for decor this holiday season (ps…can you believe we are talking about the holiday season already?? How did we get here so quickly?!) Anywhoooooo…BEHR paints recently debuted their 2017 Color Currents line at Home Depot and I had to jump in on this!
This week I received this #BEHRBox of mystery items and from the materials included in the box I needed to use at least three items, with one being a 2017 Color Currents paint sample in order to create a last minute DIY project…hoping to host a holiday get together at my new home!!!
So like a giddy school girl I received this crate at my doorstep and had to open it right away, my ideas are already spinning about what to do with the supplies. The supplies included:
Two wooden crates
Two paint brushes (flat and angled)
Paint sponges
Sand block
Paint stick stirrers
Three paint samples from the BEHR 2017 Color Currents Collection
Today’s challenge was unwrapping the supplies…and next week you’ll see the end result of the #BEHRBox challenge and what I came up with for my holiday DIY project…stay tuned!

My daughter has a new home so there is ALWAYS some new project! It is exciting to see the ideas she dreams up!
My favorite DIY project is making shelving with crates! It makes for a cute country kitchen. You need to secure them, though, but if you want to reuse them again in a different way, you can remove the hardware. I want to do something similar in the bathroom and paint them white! I’m using Behr Premium to paint the bathroom a light yellow! #BEHRBox
How awesome! I have always been a huge fan of Behr! My favorite was actually a few weeks ago when I painted my precious Nana’s headboard that we have had since I was born. It’s so beautiful now and I treasure it! #BEHRBox
#BEHRBox….my favorite DIY project was using the paint sponge & two different Behr colors in the green family to make a “spa like” master bathroom…#BEHRBox assume products!

I love pretty much any DIY project, but my favorite is the current one I’m in the midst of — sanding, repainting & antiquing the formerly black dresser in our master bedroom to a beautiful soft mint color. Once I finish, I’ll be adding on all new drawer knobs as well. Can’t wait to see the finished look and I just love what a fresh pop of color can do to bring new life to a simple piece of furniture! #BEHRBox

Oh I would love to make book holders for under the Christmas tree. On the 1st of December….our Elf…brings 25 books for each kid with instructions to pick one book to open each night until Christmas. These would be so fun to decorate to put the books in under the tree!

I love DIY projects and always have something in the pipeline at my home. Most recently, and my favorite project to date was creating a study alcove for my teenage daughter. With the help from my handy husband we installed a “floating” desk – no legs, just secured on three walls. To tie everything together we painted the desk and a dresser the same color. The project turned out great and my daughter loves the new desk. #BehrBox
My favorite DIY project this year has been our backyard! It went from a weed field with a broken pond and steam system to a lush lawn with a power washed deck and cozy fire pit. Home Depot tool rentals are amazing! #BEHRBox
