BUILDING IN A STYLED DESK!

March 24, 2012

I like a nice compact built in desk.  I live in such a small tiny minuscule cottage in the Hollywood Hills that I am always attracted to any design that saves space.  Love these little white desks built right into the architecture and that provide a nice little place in the home for working, writing, or just doodling and dreaming.  I also like the idea of having fun with desk accessories too. Why not make your little home office look good too!

Where do you get work done in your home?  Do you like the idea of a built in desk?

Happy Saturday!

P.S. The whirlwind week is almost over.  Am back to blogging now though.  Had so much fun going to so many fun events and seeing so many people I know and then meeting new friends!

P.P.S.  Fun lunch yesterday at Cecconis with KR and AY.  So fun chatting about blogging and other things!

P.P.P.S.  Have the big MOCA Art auction tonight.  Am on the events committee.  Such a fun party and auction that supports the museum…going with sis….should be so much fun.

P.P.P.P.S.  Couldn’t get my act together to meet my dear friend FF and her family in Vail this weekend.  This week was so kooky busy that I didn’t even have a moment to plan a fun get away!  Note to self…need to make more time for just a little down time.

P.P.P.P.P.S.  Meeting a friend from my day job right now…we’re going for a 3 mile run/walk!  So happy it is Saturday!

I also love the idea of a built-in desk. My home is small and we have had to use the dining room table for years as a desk. I plan on taking out one of the shelves that I built in to my bedroom and putting in a wider one to use with my laptop and printer. It will be nice to have a designated space for work again!

My closet actually looks like the 1st pic, but instead of Lanvin boxes, they’re Jo Malone (I WISH they were Lanvin). Have fun at the auction! Wondering who’s going to get the “15 minutes” bench 😉

i love the idea of a built in desk, but since our flat is so small and i don’t often work from home, it’s more important that we have something that stows away
hope you had a fab weekend

I think the built in desk idea is great! It allows for a lot of space, and plenty of storage. Especially in kitchens, knowing how to work with the storage space provided by desks can make all the difference, and the ideas offered here on how to decorate these desks are fresh and inspiring.

Built in desks can look great, like the ones above. My only issue with them is that once it’s built in, there’s no simple way to re-orient your desk and i prefer not to work facing a wall, mine faces a window.

OK, have to confess… I like that collection of Hermes Birkins above that desk than the desk itself. Talk about expensive decorating!

Behind-the-scenes: Fun work trip to visit the COCOBehind-the-scenes: Fun work trip to visit the COCOCOZY bedding collection at the Welspun showroom in New York. Met with some buyers, had a fun time with the Welspun team, then capped off the weekend with a visit with friends. It is a long process to get bedding in stores across the country...showing the collections at textiles market is one of the first steps!
If you're interested in learning how I have gotten @cococozy products into stores around the country over the years including in major retailers...follow along...just one entrepreneur's journey. :)

Today is my birthday but...I don’t want to celeb Today is my birthday but...I don’t want to celebrate...I want to help.
I want to make a meaningful impact in our greater Los Angeles community suffering from the fires. I invite you to join me in transforming birthday wishes into support for one local organization on the ground in Pasadena/Altadena.
I have made a contribution today already to the LA Fire Relief Fund created by @victorybiblechurch in Pasadena. They are actively assisting families in need in both Pasadena and Altadena who have been affected by the devastating Eaton Fire.
Although I don't have a personal connection to Pastor DeCuir or the church, I was searching for an organization that is helping in the Altadena area. A well respected civil rights attorney I follow @leemerrittesq is on the ground helping the church members and community members with legal services in the wake of the fires. I hope by contributing to their efforts, we can extend a helping hand to those facing significant challenges during this difficult time
To donate, please visit their website at https://vbcpasadena.org/ (link in bio as well). Every contribution, no matter the size, brings hope and relief to those who need it most. Tell them you heard about them from me.
Your generosity to the Los Angeles community is the best birthday gift I could ask for.

Happy New Year! 🎉✨ As we step into this freshHappy New Year! 🎉✨ As we step into this fresh chapter, I’m reminded of the beauty of starting anew and I like recommitting to goals at the top of the year. Nothing set in stone but just an overall vision of what I'd like to do and who I would hope to help along the way.
This year, my mantra is: **dream big, act boldly, treasure the small joys, continue to lead with kindness and to have as much empathy as possible for others **. Just a few things...😂
I’m also deeply committed to helping people who follow along to achieve their dreams. I'll be curating captivating interior design inspiration with COCOCOZY that will hopefully give you ideas and dreams for your own space. I will also be empowering you to realize the value of your influence with Chirpyest by earning cash back for sharing and shopping. I hope to be open about the journey of the COCOCOZY product line. I want to share real time behind the scenes how the line is being built and how we are growing Chirpyest; both examples of the not so linear journey of building businesses from the ground up. I hope these stories spark you to push your own boundaries and shake out of your comfort zones.
Lastly, in 2025, I’m committed to surrounding myself with people who have a positive vibe about them while striving to be that same light for others. Luckily, I have a great start on this with an amazing family and fantastic group of friends - a fantastic support network.
My wish for you in 2025: May this year bring you clarity, courage, and the confidence to pursue all that makes you happy.
What’s one thing you’re committing to in 2025? Let’s inspire each other in the comments! 💬❤️
Let's get to this...am ready 2025!
