November 2, 2021
  • Share

I woke up to some amazing news yesterday! My serving boards from the COCOCOZY x etúHOME collection are featured in Oprah’s Favorite Things 2021. Just when I thought I couldn’t be more proud of this collection…something new comes along! This is so incredible! Thank you to Stacy Borocz, founder of etùHome, and her team for making this happen! We wanted to design a new board to add to our collection for the holidays. The new long rectangular board with my signature Link pattern on it makes for a beautiful centerpiece. Style it for the holidays to serve delicious appetizers and drinks. It even makes for the perfect gift for every fabulous host.

Pick up the Winter O Quarterly issue of Oprah Daily on Nov 9 and shop our products at etúHOME & Amazon.

15 Gifts for Your Home This Holiday Season

October 27, 2021

I’ve already started to do my own holiday shopping – at least a little of it.  Since I’ve been so busy with work, for the first time ever, I figured I should get ahead and start finding gifts for my friends and family members. I even started to find some gifts for myself.:)  To my detriment, I often think about myself when shopping for others. I know. Not cool. Not only is it selfish but this can also be a very problematic way of holiday shopping as it increases the volume of items you are buying.  One for them, two for me.  One for her, three for me.  The picture of my patio above features some of the giftable items I bought on my latest supposed holiday shopping trip –  items to either keep or to gift. For example, loving these cute baskets, napkins, mugs, and even a coffee maker.   Do you do that too?  Spy items that could make good gifts and then buy them for your own home?  Well here’s what I found on this holiday season online shopping trip…

Last Minute Holiday Home Gifts: Spa & Barware

December 21, 2020
  • Share

Christmas is this week! I’m sure I’m not the only one who is shopping for last minute holiday home gifts. Finding that perfect gift for your friends, family, and/or co-worker can be hard. Walmart made it so easy! I love their large collection of cute and affordable items that are perfect for gifting. I found so many fun and stylish home gifts from Drew Barrymore’s new collection with Walmart. I love their other home gifts too!

My suggestion…if you are like me and still struggling to find that PERFECT gift then check out Walmart now.  Since I am into all things house and home, I of course gravitate to home gifts. There are so many fast and easy ways to order or pick up your items. I placed my order and it was delivered within two days! And if that’s not quick enough for you, then you can select same-day delivery. Walmart has a large selection of affordable and quality products. They have an awesome “Gift Finder” tool that makes online shopping so much easier. I was looking for spa and beauty items to give to my sister. The tool made it so easy to navigate their site for the right gift.

They have something for everyone! Yes, even those who are hard to shop for! We all have one of those. There is nothing better than getting all of your holiday shopping over with before Christmas.

I put a few gift ideas together for you…in my last minute holiday gift guides!

During this holiday season, I want to highlight some fabulous black owned brands. There are so many black entrepreneurs and businesses out there that deserve a spotlight. And the holiday season is the perfect time to explore new black owned brands to try. Also, make sure to check out my style guide for the holiday season.

Created in both jewel tones and soft pastels, these pieces are a must have to add to your collection. The founder Stephanie Summerson Hall, was inspired by her grandmother, Estelle. And her love for colored glass pieces.

Cheap to Chic Hair Accessories for New Years

December 28, 2018
  • Share

Is there anything more New Years than glitter and sparkles? I am not talking about what you wear to go out or stay in on Dec. 31st…I am talking about sparkling for the entire new year of 2019.  Whether casual everyday or going out for a big night, your outfit doesn’t have to be the only thing that shines this next year.  I was in NY earlier this month and my friend A.Ro, showed up to a party with her hair adorned in fabulous sparkling bobby pins on one side.  It was so chic and festive.  Simple but cute.

Why not dazzle in 2019 – on a hike, at work, out for coffee or a drink, at a dinner party or while walking around town…sparkle.  From cheap to chic, I have you covered on dazzling sparkling bobby pins, clips, hairpins, headbands and more for the new year.

A soft touch of pink, layered into the space. Not A soft touch of pink, layered into the space. Not overpowering, just enough to warm everything up, walls, upholstery, even the smallest details.
It shifts the mood completely. Calmer, softer, and a little more lived in.

What makes the Saint-Martin Apartment in Paris so What makes the Saint-Martin Apartment in Paris so hard to look away from is the deliberate clash Sophie Dries @sophiedries_ created and didn’t try to resolve.
The bones of the apartment are pure Haussmann: ornate cornicing, carved boiserie, a marble fireplace with a gilded mirror. Everything a 19th-century Parisian apartment should be. Then she placed a near-black dining table with brass-legged stools into the middle of it. A raw concrete-look bathroom behind the grandeur. Dark, sculptural objects on surfaces that were built for delicate things.
It works because she didn’t try to blend the two, she let them sit in contrast. The apartment feels lived-in and specific because of it.
→ Save this if you’re mixing old architecture with contemporary furniture.

From classic to modern, rustic to minimal, the pap From classic to modern, rustic to minimal, the paper lantern just fits. It softens the room, diffuses the light, and rounds out even the sharpest architectural edges without demanding any attention. 🏮
Are you into paper lanterns, or do you prefer a more structured statement light? 🧐

Streets of #Paris. 📍 Rue de Castiglione — Laid ouStreets of #Paris. 📍
Rue de Castiglione — Laid out under Napoleon in the early 1800s, this neoclassical street connects Place Vendôme to the Tuileries Garden in one clean, symmetrical line.
Place de Furstenberg — A tucked-away square in Saint-Germain-des-Prés that was once home to the painter Eugène Delacroix, and still feels like little has changed.
Les Antiquaires on Rue du Bac — A street with centuries of history, now best known for its cluster of antique dealers trading in furniture, paintings, and curiosities and home to @les_antiquaires_paris bistro which is an easy spot to grab a bite near the Seine.
Musée du Louvre — Built as a medieval fortress in the 12th century, it became a royal palace, then the world’s most visited museum, home to the Mona Lisa and tens of thousands of other works.
Église Saint-Sulpice — Paris’s second-largest church, with a gnomon installed inside to track the sun’s position and help calculate the liturgical calendar.
Les Deux Magots — The Saint-Germain café where Simone de Beauvoir, Sartre, and Hemingway once gathered, and a lasting symbol of Paris’s literary culture.
Place Vendôme — Commissioned under Louis XIV, this octagonal square is anchored by the Vendôme Column, cast from cannons captured at the Battle of Austerlitz.
Shops, people, and buildings that make you stop for a second and look up. Every corner feels different. Old, detailed, and full of life. Sometimes this is the best part. Just being here. ❤️

Nour Arida’s (@nouraridaofficial) Paris apartment Nour Arida’s (@nouraridaofficial) Paris apartment was designed to feel like a little piece of Beirut — a pied-à-terre that keeps her connected to Lebanon while living in France.
Architect Carl Gerges @carlgergesarchitects built the whole interior around warmth and softness: a caramel sofa, a pink kitchen, milky whites throughout. Nothing sharp, nothing cold. The palette reads as indulgent without trying. It’s the kind of space that feels like it was chosen for comfort first and aesthetics second, even though both are clearly considered.
What’s easy to miss is the restraint underneath it all. The softness works because it’s disciplined. Every piece earns its place in the same tonal story.
→ Save this if you’re building a warm, tonal interior from scratch.
