CHAIR 360!

Ixelles Wing back chair with seat and back upholstered in white with green animals and plants by Casamidy
Casamidy – Ixelles Wing back chair – $1250 (1″ flat iron frame with upholstered seat and back)(above)

Another Casamidy design crush day. If you recall a few weeks ago, I did my longest post ever I think on this Mexico based furniture company.

Now, I’m loving this new metal wingback chair from them. Especially love the fabric it is upholstered in.

This green and off white embroidered fabric comes from the Otomi people, an indigenous population in Mexico. Sigh. It is beautiful.

Here’s the 360 degree view of this captivating chair!

Thanks Jorge and Anne-Marie from Casamidy for the photos and information! I LOVE your designs!

And must thank my friend and elite wedding and event planner Yifat Oren once again for reintroducing me to Casamidy just about a month ago…(oh and also, thank you Yifat for the name of your handy guy who builds stuff….I will give him a call…sorry readers, I know I could just email Yifat a thanks for the handy guy’s number but it is just easier since I’m here…not a bad idea though…maybe from now on I’ll just start inserting random personal messages that should be in emails in these posts…hee hee…I realize this could get annoying to those of you who the messages are not addressed to … so please know I’ll think hard on it before making this kooky executive decision to do this intra-post personal email messaging…LOL!)!

Happy Tuesday readers!

I have had a serious obsession with this fabric for a long time and it is painful to see it on this chair! SOOOO beautiful…. Love the rest of their furniture too! Wish there was an online store!

Lordy, Lordy. What a fantastic fabric. While that is great, I think my favorite part is the rough looking wood they used for the trim. So unexpected.

A 90s home in Amman, Jordan, entirely remodelled by local artisans. Neo-Florentine bones, Levant-eclectic sensibility, arched passageways, and a flea-market-meets-commissioned-art collection that makes every wall feel intentional.
What makes it work: restraint where you’d expect excess, and boldness where you’d expect safety.
This is what happens when a home is built by people who actually know the place. 🖤
Save this, it’s a masterclass in culturally rooted design.

Panic mode activated!
If you only have 10 minutes, focus on these three things:
1. Make the bed. It instantly makes the whole room look cleaner.
2. Fold or straighten the throw blanket and pillows.
3. Clear visible clutter from nightstands and the floor.
That’s it. Those three steps make the biggest visual impact without deep cleaning.
Save this for the next time you need a fast bedroom reset. 🔖

Black is not a bold choice. It’s a neutral, and one of the most versatile ones in design.
The rooms that get it right treat black the same way others treat white or greige: as a foundation that lets everything else breathe. The texture of the wall. The warmth of the wood. The drama of the marble. Black doesn’t compete, it amplifies.
Save this the next time someone talks you out of going dark. 🖤

Life when I’m offline. 🎣 On this trip to Park CitLife when I’m offline. 🎣
On this trip to Park City, UT, I was way off line with a little fly fishing. No emails. No DMs. No feed. Just a rod, a beautiful river, and however long it takes to catch something.
Running two brands means my brain rarely stops so when it does, it really does.
No fish were harmed. All fish were returned into the river.
