How to Pull off the Citrus Summer Look in Your Home

June 23, 2021
  • Share

Summer – warm weather and cheerful vibes. Your home and backyard should reflect that mood.ย  Right? I thought it was a good time for some new home decor and accessories for a little summer home makeover. Citrus summer is the latest trend in home decor. What does that mean? It means adding citrus colors and pastels yellow, orange, and green tones to your home.

My grandmother loved yellow – a bright lemon yellow. She had a yellow kitchen with yellow kitchen countertops if you can believe it. Sunny and cheerful. Citrus all the way. My grandmother’s kitchen would be on trend most definitely.

This year, I am seeing more and more yellow as a summer trend. In partnership with Walmart Home, I am introducing a bit of citrus yellow and some cheerful teal into my upper patio outdoor space. I used pillows to make the biggest color pop and change but I pulled together a selection of affordable accessories that add bright colors and retro patterns to to the home in this post. Pillows for the seating areas or pastel pattern serveware and colored glassware for a summer table. I also love the idea of bringing that citrus yellow inside into the living for example with a revamp of pillows and blankets. Here are my summer decor guide…citrus summer decor guide!!

I added in these natural round poufs to my outdoor sitting area to make things a little more comfortable for guests.

Tip: Set the tone of your dinner party with a fun and vibrant tabletop. Play around with different colors and patterns to fit your style. You can brighten up any dinner party with the right accessories. Bright yellow dishes and floral serving platters. You can find these summer accents to add in some on trend style affordably!ย  Take a color risk. What does that mean? It means adding citrus colors and pastels yellow, orange, and green tones to your home.
