January 3, 2010
  • Share

Photos in this post by Coco of CococozyTwo custom throw pillows made of Windsor Smith Home 100% linen fabric in the Pelagos print
Giving away these two 16″x16 custom throw pillows with 1″ flange made of Windsor Smith Home 100% linen fabric , Pelagos print, and down fill insert. (above)

So…to ring in the New Year…I am doing my first ever COCOCOZY GIVEAWAY! I’m so excited for someone to win this fantastic gift.

I had these pillows custom made for this giveaway. I have tons of this fab Windsor Smith Home linen fabric…so I thought why not have a pair of pillows made and give them away to my lovely readers!

I love this fabric. I’ve had pillows made out of it for my home and I have upholstered an ottoman in the same fabric. Love the clean lines.

So here is all you have to do to enter this COCOCOZY GIVEAWAY:

1. In comments section of this post, please leave a comment letting everyone know what your decor/design New Year’s resolution is for 2010 (i.e. more color in the home, buy a new coffee table, declutter, add turquoise accents, remodel kitchen etc.) and also say why this is your resolution.

2. Make sure to identify yourself in some way – no anonymous comments can win (need something to identify you in the event you win…i.e. website, email address, blogger i.d., etc.)

3. Submit your comment by Friday 1/8/10.

4. Check back on Cococozy on Sunday 1/10/10 to find out if you’ve
won!
5. If you are the winner, you’ll have to email me your mailing address so I can send you the pillows!

So simple!

I will select one (1) winner from the comments in a random drawing.

I will have to limit the giveaway winner to the continental U.S. only because the pillows are a bit bulky to ship.

Good luck readers!

Please spread the word!

If you have a blog…let your readers know about this lovely linen pillow giveaway! The more the merrier!

Happy New Year again!

xo

Those pillows are fabulous! My first project for the new year is to put a banquette in the kitchen, and was the subject of my last post. I plan to make it public, that way, I have to finish it!

PS. Use random.org to choose your winner. It makes it less stressful.

I love this fabric too. My design resolution is simply to freshen up. I am going to re-do the bedding in the master bedroom (two kids and two dogs and five years has really all taken their toll!) and I am going to recover our outdoor furniture this spring. My husband has informed me that he never liked the fabric and he can’t stand another year of it. Funny he never told me when I showed him swatches a few years back – MEN! Anyways, one more: i want to completely re-do my home office on a small budget. Noone ever goes in there but me – so I don’t want to spend a lot. But I am really feeling the need to be in a prettier space. Stay tuned! Love,Linda at SheSez.com

Very nice pillows. I’m seeing that pattern in quite a few magazines. My initial project for 2010 is to recover 2 wingback chairs and an ottoman. The next project is to paint our stair risers following that is to install a wood floor in our upstairs hall way (our first floor in this home has all wood flooring along with our stairs). Currently, we are on track, as I shipped the wingbacks out last week to the upholster. Signing off from the Clevelands @ [email protected].

Oi Vie! I LOVE THOSE PILLOWS! My design intentions for 2010 are many but first on the long-ish list will be the master bedroom. I want to lighten up and get more girlie and cozy. “Beachy-Glam” is the goal. Creamy linen colored walls with crisp white trim, espresso toned matchstick blinds, white slipcovered bed and wingback chairs, darker wood, rustic type end tables, mercury glass, Clear glass vessles with seashells and coral, white glossy frames with black & white and full color large photo prints. Pops of color would come from eclectic patterned accent pillows (hint-hint)and different bedding & fun chotskies but the base scheme would be calm and serene neutrals. Can’t wait!!!!

We’ve just renovated a home, so my 2010 goal is to take it from new looking to warm and cozy (these pillows would help me do just that). I’d love for our home to be one that people know they can come to relax, be authentic and share life.

Beautiful pillows! My design resolution (and maybe my life resolution) is to be BOLD. For fun I wore this crazy red sweater for Christmas. I got a ton of compliments on how good the color looked on me. I started thinking about how everything in my closet and home are understated and how fun it would be to just kick it up! I decided my first step is going to be an orange accent wall behind my blue handcarved asian armoire! That will be a great start to a beautifully bold 2010! Happy New Year everyone!

I’m such a huge fan of this print! My decorating resolution for 2010 is to simplify. We are moving to Manhattan in the summer, so I am starting now to downsize and get rid of stuff. No more buying or storing an object because it’s cool or cheap. I’ll only be keeping the furnishings that I really really love. I keep thinking how amazing that will feel – to be surrounded only by the things that really speak to me!

I’m including a link to your giveaway in my post tomorrow.

    Happy New Year!!

I LOVE those pillows! My husband and I just moved into our first home and we have NOTHING so we are starting from a blank slate. We are making the home office, living room and master bedroom our priorities. As you can imagine, we have tons of things to do: pick paint colors, wallpaper, furniture, etc. Those pillows would make a statement in our living room as we are going for a modern/eclectic style and are planning to incorporate geometric shapes. – Farah

Last year it was finishing off a Tuscan scene mural on our ‘rented’ house dining room wall that I started two years ago. This year I aim to add more vintage hatboxes to my ecclectic decor and create more designer painted furniture. My creative spirit would love to add these magnificent cushions close to my copy of French Essence purchased recently for me by my wonderful hubby!

My design resolution is to turn our attached garage and our dining room (which borders the garage) into a family room! We added a baby boy to our family in late October and we have an almost three year old daughter, and our small living room just got a whole lot smaller! It will become the new dining room instead! The fabric on these pillows could inspire the palette – grays and browns and creams!

All these white rooms look alike, their not memorable, where is the design talent to be able to mix colors, patterns, and textures. It might seemly look clean and fresh at the start of the design, but how long ,and how easy is it to live in an all white room?

I love the pillows as well AND they will be perfect for my design project! We just moved 1200 miles away and went from 800 sq feet to 2000 a couple of months ago. We are VERY slowly but surely setting up our new home and my project for the new year is to decorate what will be our reading room. It is right off of the entryway and is currently filled with bin upon bin of books. My goal, before the end of March, is to have it painted (gray) and have white bookshelves up. Eventually, at some point, we will pick up some comfy white chairs, but for now it’s all we can afford to do! The pillows would look PERFECT in there 🙂

My husband and I are not the best at keeping our place picked up and clutter free. To help with this, I plan on getting a new dresser for our bedroom so clothes stop being thrown on the floor and putting a small table in our entryway with a place for our keys, hooks for our coats, and a tray or antique toast rack for our mail!

I’m always amazed how involved men have become in decorating choices. (Well, I guess they have to live in the space, also).
    Enjoy your site. Very entertaining!

I am a young Designer and am always decorating and remodeling homes that I could NEVER afford, very cruel. SO this year I have decided to go total DIY! For every design I complete, I will try to re-create some element of the project for MY home in a cheap and eco-friendly fashion. Whether it be a resin table or an actual niche in the wall-I am doing it!

My plan is to collect items slowly throughout the year when I find good bargains so that we can have a new place to live in where we can feel comfortable and at home, without breaking the bank!

    -find affordable shelving

And to integrate more pops of color into the rest of the house.

    LTP!!! (love those pillows)

My resolution is to transform my bedroom into a restful sanctuary. This includes combining two small back-to-back bathrooms into one fabulous one, and finding space for a small bathroom elsewhere, to make up for commandeering the guest bathroom to enlarge my ensuite.
For the bedroom, I’m thinking green and gold Indian silks. Those pillows, however, would be FAB on the light blue Italian fabric of my smart 96-inch living room sofa…

The reason I’m setting this as my first priority (rather than the kitchen and laundry room renos I want to do) is that the state of my bedroom has irritated me since I bought the house eight years ago. I lie in bed fantasizing about wall colors and fabric swatches. This is not restful! 😉

Technically, I’m in Canada, but I have a Washington State address too — does that qualify me for the shipping aspect?

My resolution is to organize and decorate my office. Since it is upstairs and no one sees it (except moi), I have not yet put any time or energy into making the space “mine”. I have started collecting decor items (a pillow here, a bit of art there, etc.) but haven’t put any of them to use yet, and I am dying to create a clean, cohesive, happy space for me to work! I have a hunch that if I am in love with my office, perhaps I’ll even work more!

I’ve been focused on the interior of my townhome until now and have accomplished a lot using a mix of MCM and Hollywood Regency design themes. Now it is time to do the small patio area, whioch in comparison to the interior looks horribly blighted and wrong. I have started with a modern fountain designed and built for me by a good friend. However I need new everything – a new wall, rear patio door, floor, furnishings and plantings. Recent pictures of Coco’s own beautiful and inviting rear garden have been very inspiring!

My decor resolution for 2010 is to have less clutter in my home. My husband and I currently live in a studio apartment, and we have more stuff than we have room for – but in a week we’re finally moving to a bigger place! I have big plans for this new apartment, that include a more minimalist look, with more things stored in bins and drawers than on display. I’ve always loved minimalist homes – they seem like they have more room to breathe than cluttered homes.

I guess everybody else’s comments bear repeating….LOVE the pillows, LOVE the fabric. My New Years Resolution is to re-do my den, dining room and breakfast area. I’ve ordered new furniture for the den (BTW – these pillows would absolutely be PERFECT with my new furniture), and I’m painting my old dining room suite. I’ve got my eye on some new items for the breakfast area. I’m going to imitate some of my favorite blogs and will be making my curtains for the den out of painters drop cloth with colored fabric on the bottom and I want to paint a border on a sisal rug. Why are these my New Years Resolutions? Well….because every well-intentioned Resolution I make is always broken before January is over. These I’ve listed will absolutely be done at some point in time in 2010. (And hopefully the den furniture will feature these stunning pillows you’re giving away).

My resolution is to update our guest room and our 6 year old daughter’s room. Since our daughter was afraid to sleep upstairs alone, we became guests in our own home so she would feel safer. Out went the queen size bed and all my Ralph Lauren and in went a king size bed and a white matelasse duvet, but that was it. I have been wallowing in the world of indecision, just stuck and unable to do anything. No more! This is the year to get both rooms and the jack and jill bath done!

My resolution is to do at least one house project every week. This week, I’m re-tiling my bathroom floor (the hardest part is going without a shower!) If I consistently do something (no matter how small) every week, my house will be rocking by 2011!

My New Year’s Design Resolution is to get more orgainized. We live in a loft with NO STORAGE, so I have decided to work things out in the bedroom by a dresser (or two) to free up some room in the closet for the hobby head (ski’s, gold clubs, tents, etc).
I have already identified the Craiglist posting I am after…. I would be happy to post.

In addition, these beautiful pillows would go PERFECTLY with our humdrum sofa which needs some love!

My design New Year’s resolution is to PAINT, PAINT, PAINT! When we bought our house, it had the same cream colored paint in every room. A nice color. BUT, I always said in my first house, I would paint every room a different color. I thought, however, that one color makes the house “seem” newly built. Well, no more! I want color, baby. Color makes my heart sing. I bought a hot pink tufted side chair at a flea market this weekend and I’m going to design my bedroom around that chair. I can’t wait!!!

My husband just transfered from Houston, TX to Orange, CA for work and taking this Southern belle from “The South” to “The OC” will be no easy task! So this year my design resolution for our new SoCal address will be to keep everything fun and light with a modern-french yet beachy feel. I really want to keep it cozy and cali-chic without losing my Southern gal style.

Thank you so much for hosting this giveaway – the pillows are gorgeous!

I am getting married in a few short months so my design resolution is to create an un-cluttered and stress-free (does this even exist?!) place where my husband (very soon!) and I can call our own! I know that they say “home is where the heart is” so I am overjoyed with the thought of us having a new home, but I am also completeley excited to decorate… These pillows would be a great start!! Thank you for all your blog posts.. love it!

I have a new years resolution to keep a journal for my teenage son to find someday in our safe deposit box. I hope to have short observations about our family life together such as: “today you won my heart all over again when you brought a wool throw and pillow to me when I sat down to read.”

My design resolution is to make my bed everyday. What’s the point in obsessing over the trendiest bed linens if they’re crumbled up in a heap? Plus it’s a FREE way to make my bedroom look nice everyday.

Hope I win — the drawing is on my birthday!

Since buying our home a year ago we’ve been in make due mode… For 2010 I hope to start pulling it all together and making it feel more like “us”! I want to add more color to my sea of neutrals and step out of my box more with pattern and accessories, I think these pillows will help give me a little push 🙂

My decor resolution is to finally figure out a plan for our family room. I need to come up with a color scheme that will work with the existing fireplace tile, but will also be current and fun. Oh, and I resolve to save the money to execute the plan! We spend the most time in this room and I want us all to love being there.

You are just too much fun, Coco! This was a great idea, mainly to see all of your followers come out of the woodwork.

This year’s project is a tough one. I just purchased nearly 300 linear feet of old, heavy gage wrought-iron fencing, along with an antique 7ft, 3 tier fountain. My husband will be tearing out the chain link fence and erecting all of this himself, including making a cement pond to set fountain. It should look great around our 1906 stone house…or it might look like an old cemetary yard. Yikes. Time will tell.

I already have a large dining area in my kitchen, so I don’t really need a formal dining room…I started by painting the walls passion plum, with an accent wall of tone on tone damask wallpaper…and I had some fancy trim work done that I replicated from your blog…Now I need the furniture!

Wow, what great pillows! For my new years design resolution, my boyfriend and I just moved into a great old apt. building with 10′ high ceilings and french doors that let in great light. After a trip to Napa Valley last fall I’ve come to love the French Provincial style and plan to use robin’s egg blues, soft yellows, and creams for a color scheme. 6″ mouldings and crowns that are existing lend themselves to the look and we also plan to mix some “old with the new” when it comes to furniture and accessories!

First of all I love your blog but this would be my first time commenting. I just moved to this beautiful apartment in NYC- 3 bedrooms. I have started remodeling and demolishing the whole apartment since sept. I been having problems as far as committing to certain pieces I want to include in my apartment. For instance, I redid the whole bathroom and since Sept I haven’t had a sink. I been brushing my teeth in the bathtub…I been so picky about what I want to do this tiny bathroom, but I want to have a sink that serves as masterpiece, work of art, a structure that when u come in, you would have WOW factor. I just bought a table that I am going to drill a hole and use it as the vanity, then I finally bought the vessel in marble after searching for months for the perfect one- I can’t wait. Finally, I just ordered the faucet its a beautiful brushed nickel bamboo faucet that I can’t wait to see it in person. So, to sum it up after months and months of searching I am finally going to create my little bathroom sink masterpiece which I know I am going to love and it won’t look like anyone else’s. My friends think I am crazy for not just buying a pedestal or any other sink in homedepot, online, or lowes. But I prefer to wait and get something I absolutely love! I can’t wait till I brush my teeth in my new sink vanity.

Cheers to 2010…and thanks for being such a great blogger with great material.

    Love,
    Maury

Pillows are fabulous. I think anything in linen is fabulous. My resolution this year is to be able to walk in my front door and instantly feel relaxed. When I surround myself with pieces I love and that can give me comfort, the rest of the world can melt away. I’m working on it piece by piece. Today is my birthday but...I don’t want to celeb Today is my birthday but...I don’t want to celebrate...I want to help.
I want to make a meaningful impact in our greater Los Angeles community suffering from the fires. I invite you to join me in transforming birthday wishes into support for one local organization on the ground in Pasadena/Altadena.
I have made a contribution today already to the LA Fire Relief Fund created by @victorybiblechurch in Pasadena. They are actively assisting families in need in both Pasadena and Altadena who have been affected by the devastating Eaton Fire.
Although I don't have a personal connection to Pastor DeCuir or the church, I was searching for an organization that is helping in the Altadena area. A well respected civil rights attorney I follow @leemerrittesq is on the ground helping the church members and community members with legal services in the wake of the fires. I hope by contributing to their efforts, we can extend a helping hand to those facing significant challenges during this difficult time
To donate, please visit their website at https://vbcpasadena.org/ (link in bio as well). Every contribution, no matter the size, brings hope and relief to those who need it most. Tell them you heard about them from me.
Your generosity to the Los Angeles community is the best birthday gift I could ask for.

Happy New Year! 🎉✨ As we step into this freshHappy New Year! 🎉✨ As we step into this fresh chapter, I’m reminded of the beauty of starting anew and I like recommitting to goals at the top of the year. Nothing set in stone but just an overall vision of what I'd like to do and who I would hope to help along the way.
This year, my mantra is: **dream big, act boldly, treasure the small joys, continue to lead with kindness and to have as much empathy as possible for others **. Just a few things...😂
I’m also deeply committed to helping people who follow along to achieve their dreams. I'll be curating captivating interior design inspiration with COCOCOZY that will hopefully give you ideas and dreams for your own space. I will also be empowering you to realize the value of your influence with Chirpyest by earning cash back for sharing and shopping. I hope to be open about the journey of the COCOCOZY product line. I want to share real time behind the scenes how the line is being built and how we are growing Chirpyest; both examples of the not so linear journey of building businesses from the ground up. I hope these stories spark you to push your own boundaries and shake out of your comfort zones.
Lastly, in 2025, I’m committed to surrounding myself with people who have a positive vibe about them while striving to be that same light for others. Luckily, I have a great start on this with an amazing family and fantastic group of friends - a fantastic support network.
My wish for you in 2025: May this year bring you clarity, courage, and the confidence to pursue all that makes you happy.
What’s one thing you’re committing to in 2025? Let’s inspire each other in the comments! 💬❤️
