COLOR WATCH: GRASS GREEN!

September 30, 2011
  • Share
White living room with an oval coffee table and sofa with a grass green rug

I like the surprising use of a grass green rug in this light bright living room above. The rug is such a cheerful green.  Why not add a little of this wheatgrass green to your home for fall?

Do you like this shade of green?  Where might you use in your home?  If not, what shade of green do you like?

Happy Friday!

P.S.  We just finished shipping a huge number of  COCOCOZY pillows and throws out this week to stores around the country!  Fab assistant KS (who loves the color pink) has done a great job.  COCOCOZY textiles will now be in stores in Los Angeles, New York, Seattle, Houston, Atlanta, Malibu, Nantucket, Palm Beach, Palm Beach Gardens, Cape Cod, Chattanooga and several other cities across the country and in Toronto, Canada too! I’ll do a post on the most popular items and where you can get them next week or the week after!  Now that we have our fall order shipment almost 75% complete, I’ve just got to start figuring out what is new for Spring/Summer 2012 in the collection.  Have some fun ideas brewing.

P.P.S.  We just sent off more pillows to a major magazine who requested some items for possible feature in a few months.  We’ll keep you posted on that.  We also just made custom drapery panels for a very famous “celebrity” here in Los Angeles…she custom ordered the COCOCOZY Logo drapery in grey with a pinch pleat and double wide.  They look fantastic!  I want them for my house!!!

That room looks so fresh and cheery. I have a vase similar to the one you showed and even though I don’t have a lot of green in my home it somehow works beautifully!

Interesting plays with the color green. It’s a very appropriate summer/cool color

Great minds think alike! I just posted an article about making your home feel healthy, fresh and alive with the feng shui wood element and the color green. I love all shades of green.

I love the room… but as a homeowner, I think white walls and the white sofa is killer to maintain…. (i have a beige one and it’s driving me crazy how to keep it clean).. any tips? BTW, my sofa is in leather.

Wheatgrass green is having a “moment” this week! I also posted something on my blog about Lynda Benglis’ “Phantom” installation at MOCA and compared it to some earrings the same color 🙂 In small doses that color green is amazing!

    Congrats on the pillow success.
I am always cautious with green since making a wall color error a few months ago — I used a pale minty shade. It did NOT work. It’s hard to use successfully, so I enjoyed the browse. It was very interesting.
    HAVE A GREAT DAY!

Yes! I love grass green. This hue adds such zing to a room, or an outfit. Those Jonathon Adler plates are fabulous, and I really like the green mirror, too.

Love these pops of green – I have a few, I have this shade of green in the ikat on my living room pillows, and solid green ones to go with, and then a green pitcher in the kitchen for utensils. It’s a nice fresh colour!

A well-designed bunk room isn’t just for kids. It’s about making every guest feel like they got the best bed in the house. Built-in storage, thoughtful lighting, and bedding that actually makes you want to climb up top.

This Toronto home just redefined “warm modern.” 🤎 This Toronto home just redefined “warm modern.” 🤎
Designer Ashley Montgomery layered reclaimed wood beams, brass hardware, and deep walnut millwork against soft plaster walls, and somehow every single room still feels calm. The olive built-ins in the living room, the arched oak doors, that brass shower enclosure in the primary bath... this is what happens when someone actually commits to a palette.

How much summer can you fit into a few days? ☀️⛵️How much summer can you fit into a few days? ☀️⛵️
I flew from Los Angeles to Nantucket for a very quick trip and I’m planning to find out.
Beautiful beaches, boats, gorgeous interiors, time with friends and one last little dose of August.
Turns out you don’t always need a whole week to feel like you got away. 🤍
So happy to be visiting bestie @francesgfayard and her husband Calvin and my godson Carter for a little last minute end of summer travel. New England at its best. Day 1 was a beautiful day. 🤩
You are not going to feel motivated every day. AndYou are not going to feel motivated every day. And you don’t have to.
Some days you’ll feel inspired and everything seems to click. Other days, you’ll question what you’re doing and wonder if any of it is actually working.
The important thing is not to mistake a slow day for a step backward.
You can keep going even when the motivation isn’t there. Some days, showing up is the progress.
Save this for the days when you need the reminder. 🤍

The best parts of Paris might not be on your itineThe best parts of Paris might not be on your itinerary. 🇫🇷
Some of my favorite travel moments are the ones you don’t plan: the pretty street you turn onto, the café you notice while walking by, the building you stop to look at for no particular reason.
So if you’re planning a Paris trip, don’t fill every hour. Leave room to wander.
