Love these all white rooms by New York interior designer Kelly Giesen. Shabby chic that is far more chic than anything that has become commonly known as Shabby Chic (ala Rachel Ashwell)(does this sentence make sense?). Kelly does this style in a way that feels modern and elegant…not cookie cutter, country and cute (too much alliteration?)
The all white living room (above) features a rolled arm slipcovered sofa, a shag rug, a cane back chair, a classic wing back chair, a clear lucite table, and mid century vintage looking barrel armchair all in white. Painted all white, the room features classic architecture including a fluted structural column at the center of the space. Love the fact that the fireplace mantel act as a frame for a flat screen LCD television which sits right inside the fireplace. White on white on white on white…who knew?
Then comes this all white small kitchen. This eat in kitchen features white marble countertops, mirrored paned kitchen cabinets in white, a classic dining table and chairs…in white of course…all off set by luxurious pale blue drapes.
This all white bedroom rocks! I love it. Bright, cheery and clean…a tufted headboard and white patterned wall paper make a huge statement in this small room.
Kelly Giesen has a blog too…ooohhhh…right now, the lead story is about a feather ball chandelier she loves …in white of course!
i am enamored. http://enamored-alifeofindulgence.blogspot.com/
I love love love the kitchen. The arched mirrored door is just divine!
Oooh, i just love that white bedroom, love how she has covered up the fireplace with a mirrored panel, such a good idea! Great blog X
How lovely! I think white, although it’s technically the absence of color, is one of the most affecting “colors” out there. Those rooms make me feel so peaceful!

don’t know if it’s because these photos were taken on an extra sunny day, but it’s a bit too white for my eyes…pretty, but mucho pour moi.
