Compact Quarters – Chic Apartment Tour

Compact Quarters Chic Swedish Apartment

Happy Friday! Today I’m traveling all the way to Stockholm to show you the way this chic apartment redefines compact quarters…well I use ‘traveling’ loosely since I’m in my office and not on a plane, but really what would we do without the internet?? Truthfully with all of the travel the last few weeks I’m really looking forward to being in LA this weekend…already dreaming of my trip to the Flower Mart and Alfred’s Tea…okay back on topic, this apartment is really fabulous isn’t it?? I thought my cottage in the Hollywood Hills was compact, but then I found this place and it makes my home look like a mansion!

Essentially this 400 sq. foot apartment is one room that has been transformed into multiple living spaces. The ‘master bedroom’ is sectioned off by these fabulous steel glass doors, and the use of neutrals and white with black accents really does open up this space more than I could imagine. The gallery art wall, gold kitchen fixtures, and bright white bedding really elevates this apartment to chic status don’t you think?

The Mute. 220 sqm of Haussmannian light in eastern The Mute. 220 sqm of Haussmannian light in eastern Paris, dressed entirely in white.
Old-world plasterwork meets contemporary furniture, and warm brown-stained wood quietly anchors every room. A conversation between heritage and modernity that never raises its voice. By @atelierdaaa 🤍

A single piece of art can change everything. ShariA single piece of art can change everything. Sharing with you how @tappancollective shows just how powerful art truly is when it comes to defining a space. ✨

Red rooms. No half measures, no accent walls. Just Red rooms. No half measures, no accent walls. Just full, total, committed red.
From crimson kitchens to scarlet bathrooms, swipe through the spaces that prove one color is always enough.
Which one would you live in? 🔴
Save this for when you’re finally ready to commit.

Did you know one Sunday a month, the Champs-ÉlyséeDid you know one Sunday a month, the Champs-Élysées closes to traffic entirely?
No cars. Just people, walking straight down the center with the Arc de Triomphe ahead. Then I walked home over The Seine. It had just rained, and the sky was doing something extraordinary. And of course, the Eiffel Tower showed up right on cue.
Paris on a quiet Sunday is something else. 🖤

This St Germain apartment, designed by Félix Millo This St Germain apartment, designed by Félix Millory @felixmillory , is defined by two things: a tightly controlled material palette and a sculptural art collection that runs through every room without exception.
Travertine frames every doorway. Dark smoked oak covers the joinery and cabinetry. Grey marble runs across the kitchen counters and island. Within that framework, figurative sculptures on the shelves, a large totemic piece at the entrance, stone forms on the dining table, a large-format artwork in the kitchen. Every room has at least one object that demands your attention. 🗿
→ Save this if you’re designing around a sculpture collection.
