Crisp White Fireplace Mantel: A Timeless Home Design

The Crisp White Fireplace Mantel

There is something quite timeless about the crispness of a white mantel fireplace. It stands as a testament to not only warmth and comfort but also to style and elegance. Today, I want to take you through one such mantel that has struck a chord with me for its graceful simplicity.

The White Fireplace Mantel – An Epitome of Elegance

This particular fireplace mantel, pristine and understated, simply radiates charm. The bright white paint forms the perfect backdrop, creating an immaculate canvas for an array of carefully chosen elements to shine through. Each piece contributes to a tranquil and well-coordinated aesthetic, which quietly commands attention without overcomplicating the space.

Infusing Character with Flea Market Finds

On this mantel, a Louis-style mirror stands out as a vintage gem. With its rounded arch design and slightly distressed look, the mirror, an unassuming flea market find, breathes life into the setting. Its reflective quality helps to amplify the light in the room, lending a sense of spaciousness.

A Symphony of Brass and Art

Adding an elegant touch to the mantel are a collection of brass candlesticks, each with their own unique design and height. The candlesticks provide a harmonious contrast to the white mantel while adding a vintage charm. Nestled among these is a small piece of art proudly displayed on a miniature stand. The art piece introduces a subtle splash of color and texture to the mantel, inviting intrigue without detracting from the mantel’s serene harmony.

The Finishing Touches

Lastly, the addition of flowers breathes life into the arrangement. These natural accents add a touch of freshness against the white backdrop, their vibrant colors and soft petals adding a warm, inviting dimension. The flowers beautifully round off the mantel décor, bringing a hint of the outdoors into the cozy indoor space.

Less is More…

This fireplace mantel is a quintessential example of less is more. The chosen elements don’t compete for attention, rather, they complement each other perfectly to create a balanced and aesthetically pleasing ensemble. It’s perfect decorating because it is so simple, and therein lies its allure..

Happy Sunday and happy weekend!

A well-designed bunk room isn’t just for kids. It’s about making every guest feel like they got the best bed in the house. Built-in storage, thoughtful lighting, and bedding that actually makes you want to climb up top.

This Toronto home just redefined “warm modern.” 🤎 This Toronto home just redefined “warm modern.” 🤎
Designer Ashley Montgomery layered reclaimed wood beams, brass hardware, and deep walnut millwork against soft plaster walls, and somehow every single room still feels calm. The olive built-ins in the living room, the arched oak doors, that brass shower enclosure in the primary bath... this is what happens when someone actually commits to a palette.

How much summer can you fit into a few days? ☀️⛵️How much summer can you fit into a few days? ☀️⛵️
I flew from Los Angeles to Nantucket for a very quick trip and I’m planning to find out.
Beautiful beaches, boats, gorgeous interiors, time with friends and one last little dose of August.
Turns out you don’t always need a whole week to feel like you got away. 🤍
So happy to be visiting bestie @francesgfayard and her husband Calvin and my godson Carter for a little last minute end of summer travel. New England at its best. Day 1 was a beautiful day. 🤩
You are not going to feel motivated every day. AndYou are not going to feel motivated every day. And you don’t have to.
Some days you’ll feel inspired and everything seems to click. Other days, you’ll question what you’re doing and wonder if any of it is actually working.
The important thing is not to mistake a slow day for a step backward.
You can keep going even when the motivation isn’t there. Some days, showing up is the progress.
Save this for the days when you need the reminder. 🤍

The best parts of Paris might not be on your itineThe best parts of Paris might not be on your itinerary. 🇫🇷
Some of my favorite travel moments are the ones you don’t plan: the pretty street you turn onto, the café you notice while walking by, the building you stop to look at for no particular reason.
So if you’re planning a Paris trip, don’t fill every hour. Leave room to wander.
