Decorating with Geometric Shapes

Bring on the pentagons, hexagons, octagons, triangles and more.  Love the idea of wearing or decorating with geometric shapes.  Who doesn’t love a polygon pop in home decor? Use of the classic multi sided shapes in design can be very modern.

Showing a lot of hexagons and octagons here…but don’t forget the basic shapes…the strong classic well defined lines can make a great design statement. In my house I have one antiqued tin octagonal mirror…might need to look at adding a few more classic shapes!

Happy Tuesday!

The mirrors are fabulous, would love to have them at home! I’m a big fan of geometric shapes and have been looking in to purchasing a rug of that sort to compliment a red footstool I have

The mirror holding the nail polish is very clever!

I also love the idea of decorating with geometric shapes. It is all about doing what is fun and functional. However, there are many types of mirrors to choose from that will definitely add a modern look for every space. Thansk for sharing!

Why do Paris apartments feel so much better than e Why do Paris apartments feel so much better than everything else?
While living in this cute 3 bed 2 bath apartment in the 6ème, I realized it comes down to a few things done really well:
• High ceilings
They create space without adding anything
• Herringbone wood floors
Classic, subtle, and never go out of style
• Crown molding + ceiling medallions
The detail that quietly elevates the entire room
• Interior French doors
They give you openness and separation at the same time
• Natural light
The one thing you can’t fake
I’m staying in this adorable pied-a-terre for a two months. It is my sister and brother in law’s place; they invited me to cozy up here on my own while they are back home in LA.
Every room keeps proving the same point. It’s not about adding more. It’s about getting the foundation right.
If you could only bring one of these Paris apartment design elements into your home, which one would it be?

I remember building each outfit around a coat or a scarf, with comfortable shoes that could take me anywhere, knowing I would be out for hours just walking.
Nothing overthought, just pieces that felt right for the pace of the day.
What would be your OOTD for a cold day in Paris?
If you want to shop these looks, comment SHOP and I will send you the link.
