15 Yellow Home Design Ideas

Yellow home design ideas bedroom

I started this post about yellow home design ideas a few weeks ago. Just yesterday though, fab COCOCOZY assistant NG and I were at the office working and she said to me “Why yellow?”. I didn’t really have a coherent answer. I fumbled and stumbled and tried to give her all of these “I am high on my horse” decorating reasons why I was doing a post on yellow. Finally I just said “Because…” and left it hanging.

Even after sitting here at my computer with keyboard in front of me and so many ideas swirling around in my head…I think “Because…” is a perfectly good answer when it comes to using yellow in interior design. A little bit of yellow can go a long way in interior design just because. It is bright, cheerful, catches the eye, and can add whimsy, charm and delight to a space.

Here are 15 rooms and spaces with bright ideas on decorating with yellow!

I love your yellow home design ideas! For me, the reason to add yellow to an interior design would be that the right color of yellow brightens up the whole room and gives it an energetic and happy feel. I love the combination of yellow and green and yellow, green and white. I am remodeling my house and I want to add a few yellow accents to my kitchen and bathroom, I may use some of your ideas!

    Hello!
I’m wondering if you’ll share a few examples of nurseries or maybe a few bassinet? I love a hand woven bassinet with special ribbon, fibers or feathers woven into them. Maybe a reed? Thank you cococozy for your dedicated service to inspiring us to make our homes more beautiful.

Old-world plasterwork meets contemporary furniture, and warm brown-stained wood quietly anchors every room. A conversation between heritage and modernity that never raises its voice. By @atelierdaaa 🤍

Did you know one Sunday a month, the Champs-ÉlyséeDid you know one Sunday a month, the Champs-Élysées closes to traffic entirely?
No cars. Just people, walking straight down the center with the Arc de Triomphe ahead. Then I walked home over The Seine. It had just rained, and the sky was doing something extraordinary. And of course, the Eiffel Tower showed up right on cue.
Paris on a quiet Sunday is something else. 🖤

This St Germain apartment, designed by Félix Millo This St Germain apartment, designed by Félix Millory @felixmillory , is defined by two things: a tightly controlled material palette and a sculptural art collection that runs through every room without exception.
Travertine frames every doorway. Dark smoked oak covers the joinery and cabinetry. Grey marble runs across the kitchen counters and island. Within that framework, figurative sculptures on the shelves, a large totemic piece at the entrance, stone forms on the dining table, a large-format artwork in the kitchen. Every room has at least one object that demands your attention. 🗿
→ Save this if you’re designing around a sculpture collection.
