DESIGN IDEA: KITCHEN SMOKE!

July 17, 2012
  • Share
wood kitchen: wood cabinets, stools, island, floors and shelves.

Last week, I posted photos of a cornflower blue kitchen. One reader commented saying the photos were by photographer Line Klein. So I went over to Line’s site and found a bevy of fantastic photos…including these of this smoky wood kitchen!

Love this modern rustic look. Why not add a little smoke to your cabinets!

What do you think of this kitchen? Do you like the smoky looking cabinets? Would you take or leave? Why or why not? Do tell.

Happy Tuesday!

P.S. Remember to follow along on COCOCOZY Pinterest to check out my latest finds…including a really cute item on sale!

P.P.S. MARKET WATCH: From Atlanta market, I love this little side table from Chelsea Textiles. The teal color, the bamboo handle and the brass tapered legs…all so so cute.

P.P.P.S.  Used my blender thing to make a vegetable smoothie this morning (kale, beets, spinach, apple).  So awesome.  Am taking said smoothie to work with me in hopes of losing the million and half pounds I gained during my 4 days in Atlanta.

P.P.P.P.S.  Was at the Polo Lounge last night having a drink with AG. It was so lovely catching up. Actor Al Pacino was sitting right behind us in a booth.  When he got up to leave the whole place went silent! (He’s very petite by the way!)

P.P.P.P.P.S. Have a great day!

I’m not usually the hugest fan of wood, but I gotta say I’m loving the smoky color of those cabinets! I haven’t seen that before and it’s fantastic!
And speaking of fantastic- that cute little side table! Love it!!

I think that kitchen is absolutely beautiful and so refreshing to see a kitchen these days that isn’t white with marble countertops….

Lovely cobalt….its been used in Interior design and fashion for centuries and it’s never out of vogue nor do we ever get weary of seeing or using that viibrant hue….
Smoke kitchen beautiful and sleek….but I’d prefer those J.Crew jeans….slightly less price point!!!

Behind-the-scenes: Fun work trip to visit the COCOBehind-the-scenes: Fun work trip to visit the COCOCOZY bedding collection at the Welspun showroom in New York. Met with some buyers, had a fun time with the Welspun team, then capped off the weekend with a visit with friends. It is a long process to get bedding in stores across the country...showing the collections at textiles market is one of the first steps!
If you're interested in learning how I have gotten @cococozy products into stores around the country over the years including in major retailers...follow along...just one entrepreneur's journey. :)

Today is my birthday but...I don’t want to celeb Today is my birthday but...I don’t want to celebrate...I want to help.
I want to make a meaningful impact in our greater Los Angeles community suffering from the fires. I invite you to join me in transforming birthday wishes into support for one local organization on the ground in Pasadena/Altadena.
I have made a contribution today already to the LA Fire Relief Fund created by @victorybiblechurch in Pasadena. They are actively assisting families in need in both Pasadena and Altadena who have been affected by the devastating Eaton Fire.
Although I don't have a personal connection to Pastor DeCuir or the church, I was searching for an organization that is helping in the Altadena area. A well respected civil rights attorney I follow @leemerrittesq is on the ground helping the church members and community members with legal services in the wake of the fires. I hope by contributing to their efforts, we can extend a helping hand to those facing significant challenges during this difficult time
To donate, please visit their website at https://vbcpasadena.org/ (link in bio as well). Every contribution, no matter the size, brings hope and relief to those who need it most. Tell them you heard about them from me.
Your generosity to the Los Angeles community is the best birthday gift I could ask for.

Happy New Year! 🎉✨ As we step into this freshHappy New Year! 🎉✨ As we step into this fresh chapter, I’m reminded of the beauty of starting anew and I like recommitting to goals at the top of the year. Nothing set in stone but just an overall vision of what I'd like to do and who I would hope to help along the way.
This year, my mantra is: **dream big, act boldly, treasure the small joys, continue to lead with kindness and to have as much empathy as possible for others **. Just a few things...😂
I’m also deeply committed to helping people who follow along to achieve their dreams. I'll be curating captivating interior design inspiration with COCOCOZY that will hopefully give you ideas and dreams for your own space. I will also be empowering you to realize the value of your influence with Chirpyest by earning cash back for sharing and shopping. I hope to be open about the journey of the COCOCOZY product line. I want to share real time behind the scenes how the line is being built and how we are growing Chirpyest; both examples of the not so linear journey of building businesses from the ground up. I hope these stories spark you to push your own boundaries and shake out of your comfort zones.
Lastly, in 2025, I’m committed to surrounding myself with people who have a positive vibe about them while striving to be that same light for others. Luckily, I have a great start on this with an amazing family and fantastic group of friends - a fantastic support network.
My wish for you in 2025: May this year bring you clarity, courage, and the confidence to pursue all that makes you happy.
What’s one thing you’re committing to in 2025? Let’s inspire each other in the comments! 💬❤️
Let's get to this...am ready 2025!
