What does it cost to remodel a kitchen?  That is the question of the day.  Of course the answer can be…”as much as you want to spend” or we can give you a few details.

Today,I bring you a cute kitchen update from STUDIO LIFE.STYLE. designers Shannon Wollack and Brittany Zwickl.  This is a kitchen they remodeled for a client here in the Los Angeles area.  The designers shared some of their sources and design thinking behind transforming this space into a cute kitchen.  They estimate that a remodel like this would cost between $30K-40K.

For those of you contemplating your first kitchen remodel, I have also broken down a possible kitchen renovation budget from low to high end too.  How much does it cost to remodel a kitchen like a designer…details…details…

SAMPLE KITCHEN REMODEL BUDGET ESTIMATE

Some design details about this kitchen remodel from Shannon and Brittany of STUDIO LIFE.STYLE.:

“In the kitchen of this project, we created an island that is a free-standing table with a base that was stained light grey to contrast with the white cabinetry in the rest of the kitchen. We also played around with the mixing of metal finishes. From the brass faucet to the antiqued brass hardware, the stainless steel stove and the antiqued nickel pendants, we were able to give this kitchen a contemporary and lived in feel without overdoing just one finish. We would also like to note the marble slab we used as countertops and continued as the backslash.  We brought in a dark navy paint on the walls to contrast all of the lighter finishes and give it a punch of color.”

It is warmer here now, but these were the looks I It is warmer here now, but these were the looks I reached for in Paris when the days were still cold. ❄️
I remember building each outfit around a coat or a scarf, with comfortable shoes that could take me anywhere, knowing I would be out for hours just walking.
Nothing overthought, just pieces that felt right for the pace of the day.
What would be your OOTD for a cold day in Paris?
If you want to shop these looks, comment SHOP and I will send you the link.

It started with an invitation. I met @hugobesnier_ It started with an invitation. I met @hugobesnier_ , founder and designer of luxury furniture brand @hartisparis_ at a small gathering in the 7ème, near the Musée d’Orsay. I was there with my new friends, Scarlette and Sarah.
The apartment itself was incredible! Tall ceilings, terrazzo floors, right along the Seine, but what really stood out was the furniture.
Turns out, it was Hugo's exquisite work.
The pieces are designed around everyday gestures: sitting, leaning, resting, but interpreted in a way that feels elevated and intentional. There’s a balance of structure and softness, where architectural lines meet more organic textures and forms.
He invited me back the next day to see everything more clearly, outside of the party setting, and it completely changed how I experienced it. The pieces feel intentional and refined, with a strong focus on material and form.
Sharing a closer look at his work here.
My Paris dream life keeps happening again and again!
